R9 280x Grey screen freezing

So on saturday morning I got problem with my R9 280x . While playing any game it would just freeze after 10-15 sec and give me grey screen with black stripes . I've been reading every piece of info I could find on internet to try and fix the problem and now I want to increase Vram voltage . I'm using Afterburner and it has offset scale on voltage so I'm really not sure how much should I go up . I want to increase MVDDC to 1.6 as I read on other forums that could help. I'm doing this because other person advised me to disable ULPS without PowerPlay support and it actually made difference ................for 30 mins. Played BF4 for half an hour without problems and afterwards went to play GTA V and it crashed again, back to BF4 & same story. After lowering Mem Clock from 1500 to 1300 the freezes are present even on browsing/normal using , but after a while -20 mins . Just to mention my Win10 forced me to install anniverasary update and this problem occure less than 24h after that . But I did reverse to last version ,but it didn't help. I came across one person who had that problem exactly with Anniversay update on Win10 and he reinstalled windows and now problem is gone (he tried to install Anniversay update once again but same problem occured ) Now I'm really confused what to do .

ASrock P67 Pro 3
MSI R9 280x
XFX Pro 550W
8GB DDR3 corsair

If its under warranty send it back

If your warranty is up you could maybe bake the card to repair it. I don't think windows is the problem it's just software - your problems are rather hardware related.

well if really MSI's warranty is 3 years from date of purchase (not production ) then it is underwarranty still , but anyway I'd like to try everything to fix it without RMA because that would prob left me without GPU for month or more (I'm from Europe)

Like I wrote - I came across one guy who had same exact problem and after re-installing Windows it disappeared, and after another try with Win Anniversary update it reappeared

In my experience with ASUS R9 280X V2 changing settings in afterburner had no effect, so I had to flash edited bios in order for my overclocking to work. In your case I think it has something to do with memory clock. Check if changing settings in afterburner actually change them and try to either lower memory clock or increase memory voltage. When I overclocked memory too much I had similar issues stated in your post.

asus r9 280x v2 is how my card is called. Yours is differently called. You can check it in afterburner monitoring tab

on the right side or use other monitoring software like HWmonitor.

better don't mess with bios and oc/voltage of your card.
since your problems started after anniversary update it obvious it is the source of your problem (or most likely conflict between amd drivers and anniversary update).
roll back to older version of windows and report your issues to amd so they can fix their drivers.

I already did that and it didn't help - maybe reinstall would help

asus r9 280x v2 is how my card is called. Yours is differently called. You can check it in afterburner monitoring tabon the right side or use other monitoring software like HWmonitor.

Change the skin of it then you have the same.

You could always try the 2nd BIOS, Not sure which one it would be on out of the box but trying the 2nd one and seeing if there is any change is an easy thing to do and might narrow the issue

Yes it does, as long you are able to flash the original back when needed you should be fine.

But I could just adjust voltage without flashing different BIOS -right ?

If I switch to 1 BIOS system won't boot - maybe because my Win is in UEFI ?
