ARCTIC expands its fan range - and sets up the 140 mm series completely new. Not only the F14 are available in full model selection for the first time, moreover the big fans are quieter than ever before and equipped with innovative features. The standard class ARCTIC had already previously in the assortment - but due to the innovative design of the fan blades and the impeller the F14 presents itself now significantly quieter than its predecessor.

F14 Silent - Specially optimized for silent systems, the F14 Silent comes with inaudibly 0.08 Sone. An alloy/lubricant combination reduced friction, which not only lead to increased service life but most of all keeps the operating noise to a minimum.

F14 PWM | F14 PWM PST | F14 PWM PST CO
The new PWM controlled fans have a particularly sophisticated solution in their luggage: German engineers were able to further develop the fan so that it not only operates with lower speed at low temperature, actually it only starts up when the performance is needed. This eliminates the fan noise during office work entirely and extends the service life of the fan significantly. Often motherboards don't provide PWM signals below 40 % and thus make the fan unnecessary loud - not so with the F14 PWM, PWM PST and PWM PST CO.

The ideal temperature control in the entire case is ensured by the F14 TC. A separat temperature sensor is adjusted in such way that it keeps the temperature between 32° and 38° C.

All fluff that isn't particularly new (these have been available for a while now)...and still no PRO version for 140mm, which I always wondered why it doesn't exist...those would be the ultimate chassis top exhaust fans, imo...

f14's are not new... I few mweeks back bought a pair - plugged in, turned to minimum and then to 7v.... and immediately tossed them in trash (literally). klicking noise like from cheepo ebay chinese fans (tough price was not much more - so silly me - what did I expect)

That's strange. I had those fans and while they weren't maybe the most silent(mainly the noise of pushed air, the fan itself was pretty quiet), they were really nice considering their price. There aren't any better fans at their price point as far as i know.

Also these are as far as i know a new revision. F14 were available only in 3pin and PWM versions only up untill now.

strange... because I tested several fans in short amount of time in single system... and Arctic was the worst (worse than some no names that also landed in trash), but I must note that I am talking about low fan speeds - where air movement is not audible... I guess if you turn them 70% and up or direct to 12v -then you do not hear clicking because air movement noise is so grate at that point.

Oh, now i know what you may be talking about. I remember they had some strange sound when used horizontal instead of vertical, so you may be right. I'm not 100% sure if these were the fans to do so though :p
