Windows 10 update doesn't work

I have tried to find on google an answer to this error (0x80070006) on windows update. But nothing is working for me

.
I have tried following
Windows 10 update troubleshooter all ok.
net stop wuauserv
net stop bits
Then I deleted the files in C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution
net start wuauserv
net start bits
I have scanned integrity of the operating system and no faults found.
Help.....

Its my computer. I do have an windowsphone too but its not been used sice the summer.

Does it tell you what update it is trying to download at least? If so you can likely manually download it and install, that can fix these issues sometimes.

The last Windows 10 update issue I had was resolved in the evening after clearing the update cache (as you had done in the OP), though initial scans came back with errors. Try rebooting the PC and letting it be for a couple hours. Maybe you already have, and maybe it already didn't work.

If not, try and manually install the update it fails to get/install. You might also consider running SFC /Scannow and verify that there's no OS corruption causing any issues here as well.

SFC /Scannow did do that already + deleted all under C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution.

more detail would be useful.

run the following powershell command and to convert the log to a readable format.

Get-WindowsUpdateLog

in the log that outputs you should be able to find the update that's blocking

I see several repeated connection attempts to https://fe3.delivery.mp.microsoft.com/ClientWebService/client.asmx

does that page load in edge

it should give you an error that reads :
This is a Windows© Communication Foundation service.

No it doesn't load in an browser only the code.
Where can I put that service on ?
Under computer management services ?

If I choose windows reset option what disappears from my computer .emails ,firewall software its not very clear. I only state that everything that didn't come with this computer lol .Nothing came with this so will I loose everything.

All so might want to try if it happens again opening control panel and typing troubleshooter in the search box and under system & Security click fix problems with windows updates.

Pretty much what Broken Pixel was talking about.

I got the error fixed with help from a another forum . He recommended this tool from Tweaking.com - Windows Repair and it worked the 1st time I did the windows update repair.
