Hi,

I'm building a Gaming PC, a small one for my brother on a budget.

We have these in mind...

H170I:

  1. MSI H170I Pro AC
    $119.99 + $2.99 Shipping

  2. ASRock H170M-ITX/DL
    $84.99 + $2.99 Shipping

  3. ASRock H170M-ITX/ac
    $94.99 + $2.99 Shipping
B150I:

  1. MSI B150I GAMING PRO AC
    $106.99 + $2.99 Shipping

  2. ASRock B150M-ITX
    $78.99 + $1.99 Shipping
We have an i7-6700 non-K, 16GB and a GTX1070 EVGA FTW with an EVGA 650 GS power supply.

What is the best motherboard for 1-2 years, maybe 3 years?.

It all comes down to what features you want. Do you need AC Wifi? How many hard drives will you use? do you need an m.2 slot? how many USB's do you need?
I would lean towards the AsRock boards, as they have lasted me a very long time, and seem to be packed with loads of stuff.

I like my H170M-ITX. I purposely bought the DL package as I knew I was going to use the mPCIe slot for an mSATA SSD. Compared to the B150M-ITX I feel the second Ethernet port, mPCIe slot, and two extra USB 3.0 ports are worth the extra dollars.

I'm still deciding between these:

ASRock H170M-ITX/DL $84.99 + $2.99 Shipping

ASRock H170M-ITX/ac $94.99 + $2.99 Shipping

Asrock is a good brand?, never used one of them before...

they are cheaper than MSI and gigabyte.

If Wifi is a deciding factor, take the ac model, if not, then DL.

Gaming certified features, such as ports and networking. Nothing that will drastically improve anything.

I have found that Asus has a good Mini ITX motherboard too.

But, the only difference I can see between both is the back ports and the color of them.

There is any other difference more important?.
