Just a poll to ask if you have ever build a computer you think is worthy of being featured in publications or websites but you do not share online or showcase in photos that is taken with professional care (setup, lighting, set, etc.)?

Thank you!

"Professional" as in publications?

I think TPU is a little low-key for that  but that's why I love TPU; it's all about the members and not some dude posting gorgeous pictures of gorgeous custom loops all the time. Also, the accounts that do this are the usual cross posters who copy paste to a dozen different forums. Nice to look at, but hardly ever care enough about TPU to even reply. We have normal lives to live (and money to make lol), most guys who make such professional content have lives built around their creations!

In case you simply meant good photos, are the photos we normally take not good enough? ;)

Until the rest of the non-TPU world learns to appreciate Ol' Beastie's versatility and feats over some random immobile quad-SLI setup in a gargantuan 900D, I don't feel there's anything more I should share in addition to what I'm already sharing. Plus, what point is there to building PCs if we do it only to whore internet points? We build PCs for ourselves to use and enjoy. If others like them too, that's just an added bonus :)

Just my 2 pence rambling @ 2:44am

I guess that equates to a few beers in me at 10:30pm. I guess that's 100% a-okay with me. Like @dorsetknob, I completely agree with the sentiment. People deserve to be proud of what they build. That doesn't mean it has to be a masterpiece unless, that's what you as the builder wants.

It has almost been 4 years, it might be my turn again soon. ;)

I find the builders who post a log, lots of pictures etc to be very patient. Most of the time they get little to no responses yet they keep sharing.

Don't know if I can be as dedicated as them talking to myself!!! So nice that they share their build, they might get sponsorship, but still. If people did not share their builds there would be no builds to look at except our own pc builds lolol and the ones that dell ships to the offices!! XD lololol

I show off every new build I do but I havent had to build a completely new machine in years. I took a before and after pic of a case change though. I went from a behemoth of a fractal define XL (V.1) to a Corsair 760T that has a big windowed sidepanel which looks absolutely lush

Many build logs are boring, some because nothing relevant is shown, mostly tubes and lights, and then we have those pesky "sponsored logs" with more pics of every bloody parts box than my patience can stand.

But those normal people logs and ghetto-solutions that we find here are always cool! :lovetpu:

Well said. Last gen was all corsair red ring fans, h100i, evga 680, 3770k, asus ROG mobo, corsair 900d. :banghead: How many of these things can we stand to see?
Now its all red corsair led fans asus 1080, asus mobo, 6700K, EK blocks, 240 rads, bent acrylic tubing, mayhem red liquid, and caselabs case. Seen one, seen them all...

I like the builds on this site because they are more unique then the sponsored logs.

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)
Such a random thread... lol.. what the hell is the point of this poll with 40 different choices????? Oy.

I don't build 'bling' computers... I dont typically post pics.

What we have seen lately, especially here, are people in comps or trying to get noticed posting sponsored builds. While pretty, I certainly appreciate what people do without getting freebies and spamvertising their builds.
