2 Weeks with Titan X Pascal (Titan XP), Thoughts...

Haven't run heaven in a long time. This is TimeSpy graphics test 1 and 2 the other day. 2227 on the core. It did drop to 2213 or 2212, can't remember, but....it stayed at 2227 for the majority of the run. The waterblocks go on tomorrow. Should be able to hold those clocks much easier.

This was on a single card. I don't think I'll get them to run together at those clocks. The best run I had with both cards in was at 2153 and put up a mid 14k graphics score. That was before I started using the curve to overclock though. They act a lot different with the curve clockign. Might be able to push them a tad higher. Looking forward to trying the T4 bios as well, as it allows for a little more voltage.

I was at the time, actually, yes. That was using an offset with the stock curve in place, which was causing all kinds of clock drops, etc. They started at 2153, but by the time they got just a few seconds into the test, they were already dropping down under 2100. I was really not wanting to use the curve based clocking, but....it appears that's the only way to get these cards to perform. I'm quite certain that once I get the loop going again, and get the curves set, I should be able to push toward 16k just like I've seen others do.

I don't doubt at all that your Titans can do 2050 pretty easily. I'm just saying with the power limits in place, 2100 would be pushing it and probably bouncing off of it quite a bit....and there are a great many 1080s out there that easily push over 2100 without any problems at all and without power limit issues. Just in reference to your statement that your Titan could hold higher clocks than the 1080s you had / have, whatever. Given, the FE/ reference 1080s are also hampered quite a bit with lower power limits.

Once you get your waterblocks fitted it should be dead easy for your cards to hold a constant clockspeed. I would be surprised if you can get them to hold more than about 2126mhz but it will be constant.

I'm hoping for 2150 in SLI...but we'll see.

How are the new drivers treating ya? I haven't found one that I thought really stood out yet.

even though I diel in higher clocks and then use the air cooler to keep temps around 65c my card scores less in every benchmark. ive been using xoc and ive just found out it doesn't work properly.
I'm gonna have an oc session with msi afterburner and report back over the next few days.

This is much better. Just a quick run to test the GPUs out. I need to get a new PSU, the 1000P2 died on me tonight, that poor 750 didn't like running this, even with the CPU at stock.

Probably not.

The biggest problem with 4 Pascal Titans on TimeSpy is they are bottlenecked by the CPU clockspeed an 18 core xeon would make this worse.

Okay and I guess a faster clocked 6 or 8 core wouldn't be better. Well there must be a reason everyone in that list used the same cpu.

OP get a waterblock on the card and the result is awesome.

Once running on water the Pascal Titan can maintain clocks that most 1080s struggle to reach.

For benching or gaming purely taking clockspeeds my water cooled Pascal Titans easily beat my FE 1080s.

I am going to, however I am waiting on deciding first if I am grabbing a second or not this round because I don't want to disassemble it multiple times. It will definitely be under water by Christmas time.

Been playing more BF1 on it, I still need to get a G-Sync monitor to complement it but have not felt like throwing down the cash on one.

Gsync isn't needed on high fps machines anyway. it's rather helpful for 60hz gamers. but those highend monitors have gsync anyway so you get it with a decent monitor as a bonus.

2164 in my initial testing. I'm guessing that's about as high as they're going to go and keep the score up...I'll play some more when the replacement PSU comes in. I fried a 1000P2 the other day. = /

Curious if any of you with a Titan Pascal could perhaps test it out on The Evil Within in 4k (single GPU) with the game's Vsync disabled using the R_swapinterval 0 command.

There's this twit all upset his 980 can't maintain 60 FPS at 4k, and insists anyone saying the game can, regardless of GPU, is a liar. I've seen 1080s pulling 50-60 FPS at 4k, with the game's unoptimized Vsync on.

If you can, please make a video confirming the FPS.
