I'm having a bit of a hard time with this driver update. Currently I'm on 10.18.10.4425 and need to update to 15.33.43.4425 however partway through the process the PC locks up and is unable to continue. I'm using the update tool I downloaded from the website so there shoud be no problems right?

This is where it locks up:

Okay gotcha. I thought it was different since the auto update tool listed it as a version to change. So I guess it's locking up cause it's replacing itself or something? I any case I originally started doing this after my game started running at 5 fps which honestly is a pain in the butt to deal with. It only started after the laptop lost power while running the game. I'm really frustrated that nothing I've tried so far has fixed it.

The Intel update tool is disfunctional since years judging from the complaints at Intel's official forum
Also you find more recent drivers in the stickies there.

Try using SnailDriver. Finding graphic drivers for my Atom platform was a nightmare. This driver updater found it instantly and updated it in few seconds. Intel has a bit shitty download pages to be quite honest and it's sometimes hard to find the right drivers...
