Updating "F6" RST Driver?

I was wondering and the net wasn't much help but is it possible to update the F6 driver without redoing Windows? My BIOS says it's running 13 and I am of course using 15 in Windows and I know I am missing out on RAID TRIM abilities if that's the case because they didn't add that functionality until 14.

RST is usually available on the Motherboard manufacturers site, and can be installed any time as far as I am aware.

Well sure I have the latest one now but not sure how to go about "replacing it" if you get my meaning. I did it when I installed Windows of course so not sure how to do it without actually installing Windows again.

The F6 driver is just for the initial install so it can find your SATA/RAID drives. Once an operating system is installed, you can update it through the operating system.

Well you'd think so, I am running 15.2.0.1020 on the Storage Controller in Windows(fine)BUT in the BIOS it is on 13.0.0.2075. So you see why I want to sort this out.

What you're looking at in the BIOS/UEFI is the OPROM. It's actually okay to have a more recent version of RST than the OPROM but yes, an update is needed if there are features you require.
Take a look here @INSTG8R

Maybe you can update your motherboard.

Precisely! This is what I want to correct. RAID Trim wasn't added until 14 so 13 ain't gonna cut it
