One of the reasons that led to my decision to pledge SC, was the inclusion of SQ42 for no additional charge, and that CIG stipulated that failure to release this standalone by December 2015 was grounds for a refund.
I figured that if SC failed, I would at least get SQ42 and that should be worth the cost of my original pledge. After being promised that SQ42 would be the first order of priority, but now learning that not even one level has been completed despite having a payroll estimated at $35M per annum, I now even have to doubt I will receive this single player campaign.
Well I guess you learned your lesson.
1) Only buy finished products.
2) Don't crowd fund games
3) You are not a charity or a patron of the arts, let the devs get their financing the traditional way
4) If you must buy early access, consider it a short term experience because other than a few exceptions, EA games seem to get worse from time of purchase until time of release. Examples: Rust, Space Engineers
