Welcome back.
I'd avoid bundles myself, unless it is cheaper as a package.
That price seems a bit steep to me, especially after I convert it to Aussie dollars which is basically double.

What's the purpose of this PC? Pre-built combos are usually more expensive. It's always better to build it by yourself, assuming you have adequate knowledge/skills for this.

If gaming, internet and general use (MS office, occasional image editing etc.) are what you have in mind, I would recommend Z170 setup. You can save additional money by going with i5 6600K, which has more than enough power for every task. If money is not an issue, go with i7 6700K. This is a very powerful CPU and for average user it's an overkill.

Considering motherboard, there are other good motherboards with more appealing prices compared to Asus. For the example, MSI Z170A Krait Gaming 3X / R6 Siege, MSI Z170A Gaming Pro Carbon or Gigabyte Z170X Gaming 3.

High-end air coolers outperform single fan 120 and 140mm water cooling systems. Not to mention air coolers are more durable, safer and cheaper. I would recommend some slim air cooler, so that you'll have enough space for all RAM modules. Such examples are Be Quiet Shadow Rock Slim, Cryorig H7, Cryorig H5 Universal, Enermax ETS-T40F, Scythe Ashura...

Current prices for G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4 3000 MHz are more than acceptable.

Purpose for my build is gaming 1080p max + streaming. I have knowlege to build pc on my own its just i want overclocked pc that is stable coz i have 0 knowledge in OC. I will check prices as seperate items if it will be like 50£ difference i better buy prebuild then atleast it got warranty 3y.

What about pci-ssd is it worth buying for gaming or my old ssd will do as good?

Check with your local computer shops - maybe they can install you these components for free if you buy from them. For gaming and streaming i7 would be a better choice. Otherwise, for pure gaming, i5 6600 or i5 6600K is more than enough. As I said, if money isn't a problem i7 6700K is the way to go. If you are on a budget, i5 6600K will do. Regular non-K i7 6700 will do just great and you'll be able to overclock it via FSB with Z170 motherboard. Boxed versions come with 3 year warranty and tray versions with 1 year. Keep in mind that sellers will void warranty if they figure out that you OC'ed your CPU. It's unlikely that they'll overclock your system on your request because it would violate warranty policy.
OC is a great thing, but don't expect miracles. In gaming you'll see very little to no improvements with OC'ed CPU, even in CPU-intensive games.

For instance my MSI Z170A Krait Gaming 3X came with 3 year warranty, so I suppose that other higher-end MOBO's should have similar warranty.

There's no need to replace an SSD with PCIe SSD. The only improvement you'll see are synthetic benchmarks and you'll pay a hefty premium for that.
Graphics card will be your main concern considering gaming.

In the end, it all depends on your financial possibilities (and common sense :D).
* If you are on a budget, but want the best compromise between performance and reasonable price, go with i7 6700 (non-K), Be Quiet! Shadow Rock Slim, MSI H170 Gaming M3 or Asrock H170 Pro4 and 16GB G.Skill Ripjaws V, Adata XPG Z-1 or even Kingston HyperX Fury DDR4-2400 RAM. Here is one such setup: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/2rLbTH
** Otherwise go with i7 6700K, some of the motherboards I mentioned earlier (Z170A), some air coolers I mentioned earlier and 16GB G.Skill Ripjaws V or ADATA XPG Z1 DDR4-3000 or DDR4-3200 RAM. Setup suggestion: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/zcFYm8

Don't know if SCAN should be considered expensive or not in the UK, but that bundle is pretty much the same price as if you were to buy it in parts from them, with a 15 quid premium for assembly, Overclocking and testing.

If you want these components with a pretested OC and you don't miss the 15 quid you pay for that, I would say go for it. On the other hand if you don't necessarily need and RGB LED motherboard, you can put this rig together probably a lot cheaper.

well its not visible, please check yes on show sys specs.

the combo you listed have a quite great price, personally i'll swap that big air cooler for an AIO water one !

also check this list:

upload_2016-12-2_12-21-17.png
Total: £555.51

There could be money for a couple of fans to improve the single 120mm slim rad on the AIO watercooler...

I want to say welcome back and I'm glad you went and blew off your steam and returned! I think I made a suggestion to do just hat. ;)

We all are assholes at some points, some more often or more noticeable than others...and ya know what we keep on going and helping eachother. You're no different my friend and you weren't disliked enough to need forgiven...shit happens and I'm sorry for your struggles this year...there's been quite a few members here facing some pretty heavy shit, and while I might not voice mine on here...we all have varying levels of shit to deal with IRL. Thankfully we have this place to find something else to focus on, to get away, to enjoy the presence of good friends and peers. :lovetpu:

Depending on your budget and how long you want to keep the system before upgrading should choose platform... X99 for longer term IMHO.

SATA3 SSD is fine unless you need the fastest of the fastest...plus even cheap sata3 SSD's are fully saturating the sata3 link...so that means you don't necessarily NEED to by a Samsung EVO or PRO. :D

I stick to ASRock and Asus for my primary mainboard vendors...but ymmv. I also like GB, MSI, etc.

I'm always for folks building systems themselves, for me its almost therapeutic. :toast:

Pretty sure you will run into issues with the Dominators fitting under that cooler. Not so much the fins, but they will cause your fan to run higher than it is designed to be!

I'd hold off until Zen hits the shops, even if you stay with an Intel build you should save some money due to post Christmas sales And the competitive price slide Zen should bring.

But will it drasticly decrese cooling if lifted up by couple mm front fan. Just asking. I still got time to think over what items to buy will make best out what you have suggested.

not really, no. What it will do though is raise the overall height of the cooler, so be sure to factor in extra room when looking at CPU clearances when deciding on a case. It will keep you from adding an additional pair later though! If you plan on keeping the HAF X chassis, do not worry, there is plenty of room in that case for the cooler even if the fan does sit higher.

Everything stays same, but i guess dominators seems to overpriced. I guess i get something cheaper better to svae couple gbp. The thing is I want to buy everything off one place so it arrives at same day and easier for returns. I think i will try to find those parts overclocker or scan shop where i mostly shop. Thanks again for big help. Will let you know what I bought and how system works when i get it.
And for that Zen whatever it is, i cant wait coz i need pc for gaming now. Was 2 weeks without gaming it was very hard for me.

If you do not want to run into clearance problems with memory just buy simple Corsair LPX memory or better yet if you opt for 2666MHz (Skylake doesn't really scale above that performance wise) you can buy a pletora of CL14/15 RAM that are probably cheaper too.

Also probably worth mentioning, you might want to be sure if you case support the tower style cooler you are buying. For that Dark Rock Pro 3 you might want to have 170mm height support as the cooler it self is 163mm in height.

The best thing is to go with some normal profile (height) RAM. Corsair Dominator certainly does not fit here and it's too expensive for the negligible performance gains. Corsair Vengeance LPX is a better choice, but G.Skill Ripjavs V should be superior to them because of the Samsung modules vs Micron modules. If you aim for the best performance RAM, look no further than G.Skill Trident Z. Considering RAM modules, Samsung is undisputable No.1, then Hynix (very good overclockers) and Micron. All three are very good, but, personally, I would choose the one with Samsung modules because of their excellent performance, quality and Samsung's leading R&D in this area. You cannot go wrong with any of these, but I strongly advise to avoid Corsair Dominator, Avexir Raiden and similar ridiculously tall RAM modules.

For the next 3 years for gaming at 1080p with ultra settings, regular i7 6700 would be a beast. If you plan to keep your configuration for the next 5-6 years, consider i7 6700K.

Pretty much any cooler will fit in your case, even the massive Deepcool Lucifer V2.

What I bought is 6700k
I stayed with rock 3 pro cooler
G.Skill Ripjavs V 16gb
And I stayed with asus pro gamer mb
The problem is how much thermal paste and what option is the best to apply.
Coz so far i pressed on middle of cpu not too big amount of paste and in windows there are temperature jump spikes
across all cores in idle mode +-3C but it jumps like from 27 to 35 or even from 30 to 47 on some cores.
Cores that are jumping most are core 0 and 1, core 2 is coolest core 3 stays 2+-
Tested a game on max settings Realtemp core 0 is about 20C hotter then rest so core0 57-62, rest cores at 37-42
Did I do something wrong?
System is on idle didnt run any games yet
Using realtemp 3.70,
checked with nwmonitor was same stats
-
So should I try to re-apply more paste in more places then only middle?

About a green pea amount of paste should be plenty enough, only thing you should check if all the corners are equally tightened.
Also I am assuming you removed the protective plastic from the bottom of your cooler right?

PS.: Differences in core temps are normal in about a 5-8°C, depending on what type of load they are doing.

I always install my CPU coolers making sure there are no threads left. When you run out of threads, it is tight enough.

Just apply the paste put the cooler on top and start tightening the four screws in a diagonal pattern till you no longer can turn them comfortably without applying force by hand.

Approximately two rice grains quantity is adequate to cover the entire lid. Center-dot method or center-line method should do the job, although other methods aren't wrong either.
Temperatures also depend on your room temperature. These values seems normal, although mine are slightly lower. Temperature jumps usually happen during some intensive tasks. Some temperature differences between the cores are normal. On my i7, core #1 is the hottest and core #3 the coolest, with approximately 6°C temperature difference during the idle and 9-10°C difference during the high load.
Clean the cooler base and cpu lid, re-apply the paste and check results. Temperature differences between the hottest and the coolest core shouldn't be more than 10-12°C during the high load and not more than 8°C during the idle.

I forgot to mention that one good method to tighten the screws is to use thumb, index finger and middle finger instead the whole palm, to prevent excessive force.

Unless you are using a drill or impact wrench, no. Just screw them in by hand, as mentioned earlier, in an X pattern, until they stop spinning.
