-Asus ROG Maximus VIII Gene Intel Z170
-16GB G.Skill Trident Z DDR4-3200 DIMM CL16 Dual Kit
-Scythe Mugen 4 PCGH-Edition
-Intel Core i7 6700K 4x 4.00GHz
-Fractal Design Define R5

Gaming , daily use. With suggestions I meant different motherboard,memory,cooler, maybe cheaper or something in the same price.

These parts cost about 670€ in Germany as I'm From Finland the same would be 900€ here.
So I'm about to order them from Germany @ blackfriday sales

and get a few more eur off.

I'm using the the rest from old computer, like the power, graphics card , hard drives ,ssd they are all good so why change them.

So went for a Fractal Design Define S for my case because I don't need the DVD.
But the cooler is not yet decided wich one should i get from these two !
-Thermalright Le Grand Macho RT Tower ,I'm worried that it wont fit the Asus ROG Maximus VIII Gene.
-Fractal Design Kelvin S36
Or something else.

Yes of course I am going to overclock my system. My current system has been overclocked since day1 one and still going strong =). I'm hoping for 4.8 on the i7 6700k.

The Fractal Design Kelvin S36 looks promising otherwise I would go with a cooler like the Corsair H105 or Noctua NHD15

all looks great, but i would like to ask the reason of the upgrade, i2700K still has horsepower enough to rock the game... im my humble opinion a custom watercooling or a new case might be a better upgrade!

Well the system has been overclocked from the day I assembled my computer (4600mhz)=). I want the new stuff

. Yes I know that the gain is about max 20% but then I have a system for 5 years to come and just change the gpu if it gets too slow =).

well, if i were you ill replace cooler, video card and if there still some money the case, its a ridiculous performance you will gain after spending at least $400 on a new board and processor... and with a water cooler i bet you could reach 5.0GHZ on that sandy you have there...

I already bought the case its a Fractal Design Define S. And thinking to buy this cooling system for it Fractal Design Kelvin S36. I don't know if its hardware related or software but when computer is starting from hibernation the network is always yellow in the device manger an this one reason why I want new board too.

Get an Gigabyte Z77/Z68 Board and call it a day ! with a custom waterloop and try to reach 5.0GHZ !

But I did run 4.8 two years on air then I had lower the clocks to 4.6 . But I like Asus boards the quality rocks . And buy an old NEW board again it feels wrong or to put over 120eur to gain nothing in performance wise.
But yeah it would be cheaper but I want the new stuff and moore :rockout:

So i have my new rig running. Now I am at 4700Mhz @1.36v it seems to go over 4800 I need over 1.40v and I think that is too much.

I got another 100Mhz from cpu so now I'm @4800Mhz with cpu voltage 1.392v and temps on stress tests peaking sometimes 73c .
Should I stay at 4700Mhz 1.36v or where I'm now?
