There is the latest BIOS for EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 GAMING (06G-P4-6161-KR). It should be very useful for all owner to improve their vga's life and fan speed control.

Installation:
• Extract the files to a location on disk.
• Make sure no programs are running in the background, and double click update.exe.
• Press "Y", then ENTER to begin the update.
• DO NOT TURN OFF POWER OR RESET DURING THE UPDATE PROCESS!
• After update, restart PC.

It is Strongly Not recommended to flash this update on NON-EVGA branded cards. Please keep in mind that any attempts to EVGA will not be held responsible.

Were there any problems with EVGA's 1060's then?

If not, I STRONGLY recommend to NOT flash your perfectly fine working card!!

Recommended to flash it If you want to increase the vga's lifetime. It can reduce the temperature to more then 10 °C.

With first BIOS release it was 43 °C with 0 RPM in idle state :confused:


After the update it is now 31 °C with aprx. 600 RPM in idle state:clap:
