SilverStone today announced availability of its 800W SFX-L form-factor power supply (model: LTI-SX800). This PSU was first unveiled at the 2016 Computex expo. Measuring 125 mm x 130 mm x 63.5 mm (WxDxH), this PSU is built for SFX-L ready cases such as the Fortress-Z (FTZ01B). It features full modular cabling, with enough wiring for a high-end gaming PC with up to two graphics cards.

Under the hood, the LTI-SX800 features a single +12V rail design with 80 Plus Titanium switching efficiency, active PFC, and most common electrical protection mechanisms, against over/under voltage, over/under current, overload, overheat, and short-circuit protection. The unit is cooled by a 120 mm temperature-controlled fan. The company didn't reveal pricing.

It's so crowded that they couldn't even block the PCB out there near those plugs...... I mean, they need to chill down. Who the hell needs a 800W SFX PSU anyway? If you run 2 graphics cards, which probably never reaches 600W as the whole system, you might want a standard ATX power supply. I doubt if there is any case with more than 2 graphics card slots and still uses SFX power supply.

Very good, hopefully this forces the hand of seasonic corsair and others to release titanium 600 watt with 120mm fan.

exacty what I think - if one will run multi gpu setup - then mini itx cases are out of the question (physicaly you can not fit 2 gpus nor in largest mitx case nor on mitx board) - and there fore - there is absolutley no need for sfx or anything smaller than standart ATX PSU

I remember the first Silverstone PSU I had in 2006, worked great for a day, went to turn it on and it popped and destroyed most everything in my computer..Was an ST85ZF, sent it back to Silverstone and something was put in backwards but I cannot remember what it was.. Long story short, they took good care of me, replacing everything even if it wan't damaged, and from then on all the ST PSUs have been flawless for me..
Kinda gave up on them and went to Corsair and EVGA but glad to see they are still with it..

You be surprised but I did, I needed the smallest high Wattage PSU for my case that could also in the future run 2 cards and the Silverstone 750W PSU is the one I went with :)

There are couple of Atx cases from likes of Lian li that only accept sfx/sfx-l psu. So there is a small market for these small high powered psu.

You have two overclocked GTX Titan Pascals with an overclocked i7 6700K or something similar?

Hopefully this one doesn't have the classical Silverstone SFX-L chirping fan.

yes and no... yes - there are matx cases with sfx/-l psu only. and no - you can not fit in those hardware that consumes more than 300 wat power - because those are only one 92mm case fan (in some cases: 92+80mm and there are variants with 2x 92mm fan)... in fact I have a small matx lian li - that is a bit huger than cases we are talking about here (because I have 22 liter volume case with full ATX PSU). my matx case is with 120mm exhaust fan and 92mm intake - it runs a 135w TDP xeon (only cpu so way below 300w power usage, not to mention 800w) and thermals are killing me - cpu hovers around 80C, mobo over 50C, ssd over 50C case around cpu exhaust are is phisically hot to touch (that one 120mm fan can not exhaust all the heat from that 135w TDP cpu)... if someone would tell me - "dude - there are 4 slots - and you have 800w psu - drop a pair gpus in that thing"... I would explode (not I - but case would - and in flames like in movies)

Actually, I do (need a 800W SFX-L PSU). I'm a small form factor enthusiast and am planning a build (with 2 GPUs) on a very compact matx motherboard. Also, even though the SX800-LTI has more power than I'll probably need for my configuration, there are reasons to choose it and not lower rated and powered PSUs, that being heat generation and, directly related, noise - and in a SFF PC, the PSU can easily be the noisiest component in your system.

(BTW, the case in question is Kimera Industries' Cerberus - a great project, worth checking out)

The target audience is non-existent but hats off to 80+ Titanium. Now just bring that to lower rated units, too.

Add an external radiator to the case and you can dump all the heat from the GPUs and CPU outside the case, no problem using 800W then.

I've had a few cases that can benefit from a smaller PSU cleaarance (even if it is rated for a full sized ATX psu). Hats off to ST, just wish they'd release a new version of the FT02 now :p.
