What is the quietest (or fan modifiable) 240mm closed loop cooler you know or have?

So im awaiting Ryzen like many others to arrive. Im planning on this build having a closed loop cooling system, however, I really want it quiet. I hear the corsairs are quite noisey and looking at many reviews there seems to be a great deal of. selection.

Im the time to pass I was wondering what coolers folks have, or, what fans you may have bought in place instead to bypass noise in their systems. I see in the reviews where 100% is at but without ever owning one myself I don't know where the levels of load to needing 100% lies. I do a fair amount of Raw editing Photoshop other than a round of Mass Effect. Any insights to share?

With AIO coolers they are all loud at full speed because of high static pressure fans. But with a fan controller ether on the board or dedicated you can control the noise fairly well.

Also cases like the Fractal F5 do a good job at quieting noise

I have a corsair and its fairly loud when its set on performance mode. If you arnt overclocking, you can run the fans much slower and it will be pretty quiet.

Noctua makes really quiet fans. I can't even hear mine at all. If you put those on your rad you'll be good to go.

Antec Kuhler h1200 Pro 240mm is very quiet whilst the cooling is very good, it's cheap too, ordering one for my new MATX build.......................................

Short answer: Swiftech H220 X2
Long answer: To build a quiet system, there needs to be a balance of quiet components, from the case its self, to the power supply, case fans and CPU cooler. If you're going to use an AIO, get a case that allows you to mount the radiator "inside". I would encourage you to think about going air cooling with something like the Thermalright Le Grand Macho. Part of what makes this work is that the CPU fan noise is buried inside the case. Put that in a quiet case (that has good airflow) like the Fractal Design Define R5, or, (my favorite for air cooling), the Corsair 600Q. (there are lots of good quiet cases these days)

Thats why you get the corsair version and use the corsair link to change the color of the corsair logo.

just add Thermaltake's Riing 12 fans and call it done, they are silent even connected directly to molex.... with the supplied adapter, they also have a "Noise Reduction Conector" that makes them spin to 1000Rpm max,

Personally speaking, I have built a few systems with different brand 240mm coolers for friends and as secondary rigs. The few I have had experience with with longevity is DeepCool Captain, Corsair H100i GTX (And the older variants), Cooler Master Poseidon, and recently a Swiftech H240 X2 Prestige. My personal favorites were either the DeepCool and Swiftech (Though I only built the Swiftech system a little while ago) but for looks and performance they seem to be pretty good. The H100i GTX has been pretty reliable with most of the noise from the fans (Though I think all of them had fans that would get a little noisy) but its very basic in my book and I like Flashy things (Plus the on board software is pretty great with extra controls and features). I have built quite a few for people with those and only one failed (Though it failed within a day so I rack that up to just bad luck) and the replacement has been just fine. The only one I thought was a bit more noticeable and not as impressive was the Cooler Master Seidon which is still going after 2 years, but I did notice the pump on that one at idle where as the others I did not.

Personally, if I was picking I would do the DeepCool captain for the looks of it as I think it looks the best in a side view window. If I wanted the best performance with possible expand-ability, I would get the Swiftech as it looks great and has been the best overall closed loop I have used in my experience (Albeit, I have not tested most of these on the same chips so it maybe a bit skewed, plus that is still early impressions). I think though the biggest noise is going to be the fans so if your that concerned, get the one that you like the best and pick up better fans as that will make it pretty quiet.
