How to cool mosfets and VRAM on motherboard?

I'll be running a specific build and I need to figure out how to keep those cold (mosfets and vram around the cpu)

I'll be water cooling my cpu unfortunatly my mobo doesn't come with integrated water cooling for vram etc. My case (the thermaltake core p5) is an open air case but doesn't allow really for a fan to be mounted close to them.

I wish I could find a motherboard water block, but it's not gonna release ever I think. my mobo = asus maximus hero IX

What is it that you are going to be doing that makes you think the motherboard is going to generate any significant heAt? At least heat that would be detrimental to either performance or stability?

From the limited knowledge I have of that motherboard, and the performance of today's technology I'm having difficulty seeing the benefit of water cooling The motherboard, at least for what I assume is day-to-day use since you haven't led me to believe with the content of the OP that you'll be doing anything out of the ordinary , as I would assume you would've mentioned that most likely

And I've seen motherboard water blocks , they just aren't very common

Just use a high pressure fan held by cables/zip ties to blow on the VRM etc.

Arctic Silver Epoxy Mixed with Arctic Silver Compound 50/50 -did that for my dell XPS Gen 1 laptop M18 Video card Ram to add sinks to it, it allows a good bond but it also allows for the sinks to be removed

You're not gonna find a waterblock for the motherboard. If you're worried about providing additional cooling, your best option is to do something like @eidairaman1 suggested. I did something similar to a budget AM2+ board with weak power circuitry before. I attached some of those old little blue Zalman vram heats inks to the mosfets, along with a Thermaltake Big Typhoon CPU cooler which blew down on the board.

Yuppers Used Tweakmonster RAMSinks (Instead of BGA Ramsinks) It worked out on the M18 GPU (MRadeon9800)- it Helped the OC go from 350Core/300 Ram to 459/400.

They work great if you don't have a cut out on the motherboard tray in your case. I use them for the chipset on my board as well.

VRM's are rated to well north of 95C in even the crappiest ones

YOU SHOULD Ghetto Mod it

120mm fan with home made Tapering cardboard ducting (pwm it or connect it to variable fan Controller )
Paint Cardboard Ducting to match case/Motherboard colour Scheme.
Cost nothing if you got an old working Fan and some Sellotape /gaffer tape + the Breakfast Cereal box of your choice
Go on you know you want to

I used copper square heat sinks on an old build to cool the mosfets, they came 8? 10? in a kit with thermal stickypads.

I have an image of them but its badddd potato quality.

Well, something like this could work for your mosfets, the chip set doers not need water cooling unless you are going for record breaking attempts.

I was just going to suggest the same thing. The board already has heatsinks on the VRM area. Some airflow over the area is all that's necessary.

You can sometimes get VRM waterblocks, I found some by Heat Killer for mine. Totally unnecessary if on budget, but it saves needing a fan for that area, and it looks kewl
