The trouble with Prime95 and Skylake chips was some very specific bug that very specific workloads (a la Prime95) triggered. I thought it had since been fixed?

How about that voltage though? Core Temp reads 1.32 but CPUZ reads 1.296

Voltage is fine. I'd trust cpuz.

Coretemp reads some wonky voltages for me.

Awesome. Is coretemp good to use for temps? seems good to me. Using Cinebench R15 to bench currently. Highest score stock 704. OC is 760.

HWINFO isn't an option because of a weird incompatibility with z270. Getting an error.

if the board is warping, loosen the cooler up a bit and press down on it and twist it a few times

Also I RMAd it so I would have 2 chips here, and keep whichever has the better OC ability

I have a 2600k and I have yet to see a reason to OC. Can't imagine a reason with a Kaby.

Performance for free? I don't see a reason not to. Benchmarking proves the gains.

Pretty unethical... It works at and clearly beyond it's rated specificiations, so you've got no reason to send it back.

finally, now my main question, are you going to open your eyes and look for a better cooler, your chip its perfectly fine, no need to RMA it, you just need to cool down with a better cooler, or you could delid that chip and upgrade fans on your 212 Cooler for better temps,
