I have a setup right now, as follows:

1 SSD 512GB Crucial with code for Aconis( for OS and much played games)

1 SSHD Seagate 500 GB for steam

1 1.5TB WD black for storage(p*rn and stuff)

Problem is that Im running out of storage, so today I ordred a WD RED 4TB disk, for just the lahlah stuff whichs means my WD black is going to be cloned onto the new one.
Then move my steam stuff onto my "old" WD black 1.5TB together with my Origin account and all my BF games from my SSD. Simply to free up space on my SSD.

In fact Im asking can that be done and how ?.
Ive only used Aconis fore cloning my OS to my back then new SSD and it worked perfect.

Since its not a OS drive you can just get away with a copy/paste in windows to the new drive. I did this a while back when I moved from my old storage HD to a 4TB.

I can do that even if its Steam or Oregin and still have access to my games from OS without installing it all again ?

Steam games may want to find the games again, and might show that they are uninstalled. All I ever did was direct Steam to the drive (if the letter changed) and tell it to install. At that time it finds that you already have it, sets everything up, and away you go. It even reapplies the saved files. It is maybe a 2 minute process for the game to re-associate itself.

I recommend Image for Windows. trial version runs perfectly for 30 days, but you'll have to restore before that 30 days runs out.

I would image your OS drive to the New drive, copy data from the Black to the Red, Image the Steam drive to the Black drive, and reassign drive letters, reorganizing drives as you progress (pull the OS drive after image, etc).

I have a full version of Aconis with code when I bourght my SSD, so it will still work.

What Im consrened about is, all the entries from different games being moved from one drive to another without loosing contact with the OS. So in fact I might have to use a lot of time installing all the games again ?.

Thx for advise .

I would copy and past from the old drive to the new. Then go into disk management and change the drive letters to match.

Copy and Paste the WD Black to the WD Red.
Copy and Paste the SSHD to the WD Black.
Take out the SSHD.
Change the WD Black drive letter to the SSHD's drive leter.
Change the WD Red to the WD Black's old drive letter.

This should avoid most reinstalling. I know with Steam, it will see the Steam directory in the exact same path as before and you won't have to reinstall anything. Origin might be a different story since you are moving it to a different drive letter. I don't know if Origin has the ability to find the games after they have been moved, or if you have to reinstall them all. But at least you won't have to waste time reinstalling everything in Steam.

@Ebo Just do like me, move the games, and reinstall the clients (Origin, Steam, Uplay and more) and tell them where u want the games installed and let them check the data you have.

There is a WD version of Acronis that works wonderful only requirements are that you have WD drive attached to the pc u r using it with.

You're right on the problem, but Aconis makes a complete image of the drive you're copying.

Sure, but that isn't going to help with anything that is on your SSD now and you want on the WD Black. If you just clone SSD to the WD Black, then still boot from the SSD, it will be seen as a different drive letter just like if you copied and pasted it.

Copy and pasting is quicker than doing a Clone in my experience, so you should use that any time you are just dealing with data and don't need to move a functional OS to a different drive.

Yes done this mutiple times, just tell steam and origin were you put the game folders and it will do the rest.
