The website is legit for sure. They've been around as long as I recall. They just never bothered with Web 2.0 concept.

However, they are probably guessing the prices.

They never have guessed. I'd be willing to bed those are legit prices

Never is too strong of a word in this case. I've seen them guess prices although they were usually very close to real prices in the past.

Big pinch of salt needed. website looks like a small backstreet shop.

Found this googling mfg numbers-

http://www.kikatek.com/P893986/YD170XBCAEWOF-AMD-RYZEN-7-1700X-3-8GHZ-8-CORE-SKT

It's BLT. They're legit

This link is speculative. Smaller Shops tend to inflate/over exaggerate on prices.

I'd personally wouldn't trust them.

I'd wait for Pricing on Bestbuy, Fry's, Microcenter, Amazon, Newegg, Directron before anyone else.

But for $500, any reason not to go intel? 7700k is $350 on amazon prime. Any info on release date?

Yeah, a few reasons to hold off as of now. The $500 part will be 8 core/16 thread. 7700k is 4c/8t. AMD's 4c/8t will almost certainly be cheaper than $350.

Ships this month and releases next month. Probably going to be worth waiting a few weeks to see how it performs

Then prep for a wait as i am thinking they will run out of stock. Prices probably go BOOM!.

I don't think so. I believe the lower end 8 core will sell better than the 500 dollar one. I believe they will sell out day one but it'll take a few hours.

Yeah but once they sell out prices may go crazy as demand will go though the roof if they are as good as they seem.

I am a fan of AMD but that's not going be the reason i don't ( for a change ), simply don't need to upgrade.

I'm buying the 1700 and the lowest 6 core for testing. I'm sure I'll kill one with voltage

If the top Ryzen is near a 6900k I still wont upgrade. I'm a laptop person that just bought a new laptop 2 months ago with a 7700k. Besides there isnt any laptop with a desktop Ryzen on plans.
