Okay, So the rig is built, and overclocking isn't going too well? (Kaby Lake)

Thank you all for all the help. I am super excited. Got this thing running at 5GHZ set to 1.300, and under load power only goes to 1.315 without LLC. All at 70c max. Speechless. Since owning my Athlon XP back in the day and my q6600 later, my mouth has been watering over this 5000mhz number lol

Yes I did. Added another basic DC 120mm fan for a push/pull on my Hyper 212 and now even at 5GHz I max at 77c when running AIDA64 stress test

An update: Decided as I am saving up for a nice AIO, I was going to stick with just a 4.6GHz OC at 1.200v while I am still on air, just incase this Hyper 212 isn't up to the higher clocks when gaming.

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)
I mean... 77C during AIDA... gaming will be less. It can handle it.

Use the information you have to make an informed opinion/decision... ;)

Thanks. I just worry about pumping too much voltage and harming the chip honestly. Even though I tell myself that anything below 1.350 is okay for these chips lol

I'd run these chips at 1.4V+ for years man.. again...Temps are more than fine, voltage too. Stop worrying about it! :)

Its clearly your temperatures, thus your cooler. I mean the easiest fix is to try and put a solid thermal paste, see if that helps temperatures, in many cases just changing the thermal paste can lower you 4-5C even more degrees C. But ultimately your cooler is not that good anyways, especially if you don't have proper case coolers to push the hot air out.

A lot of times no matter how good the air cooler is, hot air in the case prevents it from cooling properly no matter what, so its very important to have good case fans, I find it having one pushing cold air in from the front and one pushing hot air out from the back is the best cooling solution.

Another setup with fans is if you don't have option to put forward fan, is to put a fan taking hot temperature from the low end position where the GPU is pushing hot air out of the cooler and on the top read side put a fan that pushes cold air in.

They 212 imho has ran its course as being an OC cooler, it's only good as a replacement for stock coolers now.
