.....There's been talk of Intel using amds graphics on their CPUs....So could the Zen bump be actually an Intel creation(hyper threading and all) in some close door deal between the two?

they have said it would , and has been tested on 7, just without new drivers some of its features may not be used, so there is hope.

Intel you are making so sense to me this week.

It will run on Win 7, 8/.8.1 but it will not have all its features enabled (fully supported).

I really need to step up to 8 core, so I really want to know what this cpu can do. Intel has gotten so expensive... it's why I have to hunt for used sb-e stuff right now....
I really could use 8+ cores, but even used intel 8 cores are 1k....

I wouldnt be surprised that the demand will be so great that they release a "patch" "update" that can be downloaded then installed to make use of Zen, just like the current FX's that you had to email to get the fixes for.

Yeah. But I suspect Zen to be less of a problem than FX was, due to being "Intel-like" with the traditional design + SMT and not that CMT stuff, that was unique to the FX design.

I totally agree and also for that reason I cant see why they wouldnt adapt Zen to 7 since it is "intel like" Time will tell I guess.
