"Fry's US price AMD's Ryzen 7 8-core, 16-thread 1700X at $389.99, pricing that is very close to previous leaks. To put things into perspective this price is lower than Intel's i7 6800K, which is currently priced at $409.99.
Previous leaks have given this CPU base and boost clock speeds of 3.4GHz and 3.8GHz, with this CPU coming with support for AMD's XFR technology. This listing also lists the CPU's total cache size of 20MB, which is a combination of the CPU's 16MB or L3 cache and 512KB of L2 cache on each core (16 + (8 x 0.5) = 20].
While this leak does originate from Reddit, several users have been able to confirm this price by telephoning their local Fry's Electronics and asking for the price of this item's PLU code (9099617).
If AMD can deliver similar IPC to Intel, it looks like the Ryzen 7 1700X will be able to easily outperform Intel's 6800K, with the 1700X coming with 8-cores, 16-threads and base/boost clock speeds of 3.4 and 3.8GHz and Intel's i7 6800k offering 6-cores, 12-threads and base/boost CPU clock speeds of 3.4/3.6GHz.
