Hopefully guys at Intel will get so depressed that they'll give away for free some of their CPUs. I don't intend to spend in excess of 200 euro on a processor and will probably not buy one plus a new mobo and ram in the near future. By the time I will need 8 cores for a living probably Intel will have an answer core wise and price wise to Ryzen so I can make a decision.

I didnt vote, but No. I will just get intel if they lower their prices assuming Ryzen is as good as AMD claims.

When you get robbed, do you thank the thief?

I'm just waiting on 6 core pricing, 429 CAN is the cheapest I've seen the 1700 non x 8 core at.

Hoping launch prices come down a bit while i'm waiting for some iTX MoBos but still leaning towards a Ryzen 7.

Really thinking of the non xfr 1700 for myself for old school ocs

It really does seem to be the stand out, most curious how the binning was done so can better tell how it'll compare to the 1700x/1800x. Will we be hunting certain steppings and mfg/diffused locales again like the old days? ;)

Im holding off till the end of this year.

Same. I mean, if I can achieve clocks the same as the higher priced chips, I see no reason to get any other 8 core.

Gotta be honest, I did buy an AM4 mounting bracket for my block just in case I do get one.

Hopefully they dont cripple it intentionally

I'm planning for a 1700X or 1800X if I can afford it.

I'm actually more concerned about Mainboard reviews at this point.
Who will have the best board for this new platform?
I've always been a little gung-ho about supporting AMD through the years.
We need competition in the markets and it might be happening finally.

I'm hoping that they can school NVIDIA too.

When and if one of these 8 core cpu's gets into a laptop I would be all over that, but since I'll be editing videos soon I'll need a desktop so I'll might go with AMD this round when more reviews come out.

I am more looking into those 2 socket ryzen cpu's.

I voted benches/reviews before I join the cult of AMD, because as it turns out.... I don't just run Cinebench on loop.

I never left AMD, and I am sure glad that I won't need to in the near future.
The 1600X seems most promising to me, and that's going to be my fall upgrade.

None of those options, reason i am not is simply my 3770 has been doing perfectly fine with gaming. How ever if i was in the market AMD would be a option but as of yet without solid information on how they perform is yet to known.

Since the name is Ryzen, no black edition, it doesn't sound right. Zombie edition fits better for Ryzen.
All Ryzen chips are "black editions" they are all multiplier unlocked

Waiting until benches, because pre-ordering doesn't help me in any possible way, and because my 3570k is still doing just fine.

Aren't you water cooling now? What block do you have?
Yes I've been water cooling for years..

All I have is this 4790K EK block

Also are these guys back up and running? Last I seen they were closed.

Anyways looking at this http://www.frozencpu.com/products/10000235/ex-blc-2006/XSPC_RayStorm_Pro_AMD_AM4.html

Or Ill just grab another EK block.. Id love to get a HeatKiller All copper block but haven't seen any yet.. The system I ordered is a combo. It doesn't come with an air cooler so using air till I can find something is a no go. I was looking at an AIO H-110i as beit fits the AM4 socket but that's more then a block.
