Pretty much what it says on the tin, how do I backup my Firefox favourites so I can import them to another system?

As far as I'm aware, you just go to C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\, double click [wierd numbers].default and then you can backup a HTML file called bookmarks.

Edit: you could also click on the "Bookmarks" toolbar, select "Organise Bookmarks...", go to the file menu and then choose to export your bookmarks (and obviously import them on the other PC).

Actually, you can backup the whole Mozilla folder, and copy and paste it to the new installation, and all your extensions and themes come with it, too.

And all your settings, which is especially useful if you have taken the time to tweak some of the "about:config" settings. :)

But if you're moving them to another system which has all the extensions you want installed, and everything is already setup ok, you should just copy the bookmarks obviously.

Yep, forgot to mention that one. It's been so long since I had to redo them, mostly because I use the copy/paste method on fresh installs.

You can also just go to

Bookmarks -> Organize Bookmarks...

then Bookmarks manger will open and you go to

File -> Export...

Then whenever you want to import those favorites you just go back into the Bookmarks Manager and go to

File -> Import...
