No RyZEN review on TPU - why?

Just wondering. Have heard that there where delivery problems up to launch,
but that is some time ago.

Will there be a RyZEN review on TPU?

It seems like most HW vendors don't give much care about TechPowerUp for some reason. They either don't provide review samples at all or they mess things up with delivery. I've been observing this for quite a while...

It's like the majority of the world can afford it. 1080-1440p is where it's at for most people. I don't see 4K being affordable by the majority of people until 2020, and then only if you get monitor/GPU that is used, because the lot of users that were early adopters are probably going to go for The Next Best Thing and sell their older hardware.

Though it's nice to see when the load on CPU is lessened and you stress the GPU to see what happens and how the CPU's stack up then, well the results equalize more or less and become boring, kind of an oxymoron that I wrote here, but I think you get the point.

4K Displays are pretty affordable thesedays, gaming on native 4K on the otherhand tho... not so much. I have to agree with you 1080p now becoming or is pretty much mainstream now and 1440p is the bit higher-end of the ball-game. 4K for gaming is out of reach for 98% of the gaming community.

I think you need a little more patience it's not @W1zzard can just shake his magic maracas wand and magically a Ryzen review will appear here on TPU I think it takes a little more than that even @W1zzard is the best

All reviews I've seen so far more or less use the same 3-4 games.
Hope Wizz if not more at least he will chose different games.
I know the bench not gonna be mostly gaming benchmarks, cpus have other purposes too.
But we all know that Ryzen kicks ass in productivity applications, gaming is what is questionable right now.
Which is kind of odd knowing the raw power and productivity power of the CPU doesn't make sense to be behind Intel so much.
Hopefully sooner than later we will get some game updates or new games optimized and that Windows scheduler patch in combination with BIOS updates.

Well, to be consequent, then you should go with mainstream GPU, which "majority of the world can afford".
Why is that reviewers mostly test with 1080/Titan/Titan in SLI?

This is a CPU review not a build review.
So you max everything out to avoid bottlenecks, the only bottleneck should be the CPU.

Hopefully Wizz can do couple tests on that.
I'm thinking for cpu to feed two gpus should be more taxing on the CPU and Ryzen 7 having that extra core compared to i7 7700K might benefit in multicard configuration.
Or the Cache latency will play a bigger roll and do worse.

I am wondering the same thing I am having a i7-6700k, and I do converting from time to time but mostly gaming and plex so would be nice to see.

Nah.
Even at 1440p and 4k there are differences between CPUs (although smaller ones).
The idea behind "let's do CPU bottleneck" is that it would predict how CPU would perform "in the future" when "GPUs will get much, much stronger".

But that future with given CPU might never happen, which makes practical usefulness of that test highly questionable. (also check how wildly do some benchmarks vary from reviewer to reviewer, e.g. Watch Dogs 2 )

On the other hand, 4k with a Titan/1080Ti like GPU is a reasonable that many gamers who own those GPUs would use. Yet it is somehow ok to skip it.
