I need a new shooter, and did not want to waste my money on BF1.
Is this worth $60.00???

I've only played the demo online on the PS4 Pro with my friends, but it was good. I've since bought the full game on PS4, but not had a chance to play it yet.

I've also got an unlock code for Wildlands that I received with a GTX 1080 purchase the other day.

no, this game is not worth the $60. Maybe $25. The AI is so bad. And then you just drive around from place to place doing "missions."

I've redeemed a code received with my new GTX 1080 graphics card through GeForce Experience and now have Wildlands installed. However, it's purely a Uplay version and not Steam/Uplay. Is there a way to associate it with Steam so that I get the Steam/Uplay version as I prefer all my games to be on Steam whenever possible? I have a feeling that there isn't. Note that I'm only looking for legit solutions, not hacks or anything illegal.

I also have Wildlands on my PS4 Pro for online play with my friends and like this game a lot.

You should be able to link your Steam account to uPlay - mine prompted automatically for this when I bought R6 Siege through Steam.. But not sure if the uPlay to Steam link works backwards.

Yeah, Steam/Uplay accounts are linked (I have Rainbow 6, Far Cry 4 and a few other Ubisoft games that I bought on Steam) but the game only shows up on the Uplay account. I'm not really all that surprised that it's like this.

I tried looking on the Steam help pages, where there's nothing about this and one can't select an "Other" option from their choices, so I can't contact Steam either. How convenient for them. There's an email address for Ubisoft, so I could try emailing that, but it's perhaps a little embarrassing to ask them to have their game on a competitor's client too.

You can do a Non Steam and add it to your library that way. Might be the only option.

I think you're right. That's only a link though, so not worth it. The whole point is to have the convenience of Steam keeping everything up to date all the time since I leave it running permanently nowadays.

I really love this game - its been great fun playing it in coop - and I am not trough yet - looking forward to lots of ours to come. Stil som minor bugs - especially with Eyefinity, minimap placed on my right screen instead of middle screen etc. And som funny bugs - below example of coop player wearing a parashute at my end and not his. In his end he is driving along side in the car.

Yeah, all of that, plus the regular automated patches. It's not the end of the world though, as the Uplay client will keep it updated too. Just a bit less convenient, is all.

:banghead: Wildlands Error using Eyefinity and high resolution + high setting

Unfortunately there are some problem with crashing at the moment - both AMD and Nvidia users reporting in.

Im currently running 6000x1200 on my R9 290, on the 7. april I could no longer load the saved location without crashing to windows.

Fixed it by som adjustment to my AMD software.
upload_2017-4-8_17-43-13.png

and
upload_2017-4-8_17-43-38.png

forcing the temps to 80 c

In game I had to lower several settings in game as well, but fixed the crashing

Seems that pushing game memory load beyond 3GB could be an issue:confused:

Sorry to hear you have problems...

I came by to ask if there really is no option to save some cars (well, ahaaaam, tanks) in your save hide-out. I just got a BMP but had to stop playing. Next time it is gone.... Have read some Tips&FAQ's, seems it's not an option.

When Nvidia gives you a game code and you get to choose between...

For Honor and Wildlands.

The Way Shit is Meant to be Played. Thanks, I guess... now I'm just forced to have a look at these failures.

I do think its the better choice between evils; For Honor's peer-to-peer client networking doesn't really seem to work well for a competitive online game, lots of ways to 'cheat'.

Yes... For Honor's matchmaking is broken... the game mechanics are awesome and fun.. I just can't get a stable game to save my life. You chose.. Wisely between the two.

HONOR is a stupid perspective click bait game with swords.... played the demo 5 minutes. GR La La Land is quite acceptable.

That's one amazing free game to give with a weak laptop like that, must be an attempt to 'up-sell' and make you buy a decent one right after you play it :D

I remember I got Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon, the first one for free with my intel(igp) Ati xpress something Packard Hell laptop!..:p:D
I have on Disc, Steam and Uplay....It was my first serious love of an FPS game...

Little fun thing about it. It actually still scales properly unlike many old games I can actually play it at 1440, Ah Ubi where did you go wrong...

Well I've clocked about 50-60 hours in GR:W and I gotta say it does get old now, but what'd you expect.

If I had to capture the game in a oneliner, I'd say 'Third person squad based Far Cry' covers it very well.

Its definitely not bad but I don't see myself finishing the main storyline any time soon, it is the typical Ubisoft writing: standard, 13 in a dozen mediocreness all over. Don't play it for that.

The GOOD:
- Bolivia looks f'in amazing, the draw distance is mental, and weather conditions are extremely convincing. Has no equal really
- Grand Theft Auto special ops style works surprisingly well, similarities are striking though
- Immersion is great if that's your aim. The voice overs of the AI teammates are very cool.
- Absolute stealth is harder than it looks and achieving it while you roll through enemy territory feels good

The BAD:
- overall performance is below what I'd expect from settings and system at 1080p. Lots of frame dropping to 30 fps or even sub 30, long stutters when you drive or fly into a new province (yet none in actual gameplay). Max FPS hovers around 66-70, avg 55 on a GTX 1080 OCd. Altering settings doesn't provide tangible benefits.
- the good old Ubi formula is really tiresome by now. Remove fog of war from map, find fast travel points, unlock everything besides your underpants. Yaaawn
- repetitive gameplay
- Sync Shot is way too OP (once you get 3 syncs basically there is no need to upgrade anything else)
- AI teammates apparently don't mind standing right on top of enemies, they have super stealth suits or something, and can shoot through walls
- You're way too OP and once you unlock a decent assault rifle, you need to find ways to keep the game challenging for yourself. Even the tougher enemies die fast and the accuracy penalty/recoil on weapons is surreal.

I got this game for free with the 1080. Would not spend 60 on it, but when price comes down, def. worth a look.

BTW if you're looking for the immersion factor, try watching Narcos on Netflix before playing this. Big bonus points

I was worried they'd be super incompetent, but what you've described is just as bad the other way. You'd think devs in this day and age would mostly be able to get AI right. That said, we ARE talking Ubi here.
