4.4Ghz stress testing can hit me around 93c max! Bounces from around 83/86 - low 90s

Questions.
  1. What's the safest temp to hit when stress testing.
  2. I don't ever stress test on a common basis like weekly so is it save to leave the clocking and voltages and such where they are.
  3. When idle or gaming these are my temp 40s-50s idle - 60-80 gaming.
What I use to test were.
  1. Aida64
  2. Prine95
  3. Intel extreme utility
  4. Asus over clocking benchmark.
What did do I use for cooling you may ask? Corsair h110 with artic mx4 paste. I don't know my room temps I need a thermonitor.

I know people will want to know voltages and more I'll post images in the morning it'd 2am in Britian but any other question that can be answered in the mean time would be great.
-on my mobile right now

I will be doing some YouTube game streaming tomorrow later today to check the temp during a stream hopefully won't hit to high.

under stress, of course. the highest you can give. IF you can do that, then your system should live a long productive life. :p
Okay thanks, i'll try messing with voltages and few things see if i can keep it under!

Is it prine95 a new stress software:confused:

Btw, those temps that you see with Prime95/Realbench and Intel extreme utility you won't never see it while playing.

thx i knew that already.
but i am interested in how much volts he needs and the temp i know now-every chip is different.
stopped priming furmarking years ago.

There is your issue, I would not suggest using an AIO on anything past a quad core. AIO=garbage IMHO

doesnt intel release safe volt numbers? do they also list temps? where does the '80' come from? everything is arbitrary... it's metal

My 10-core 6950X under the same cooler as the OP, @ 4.4 GHz, laughs in the face of your comment.

It comes from years of experience and many ES CPUs I have killed. Not one left standing.:p

Actually, the 7350K is still standing, but we'll see how long.

Also, metalloid, not metal. :p

Your CPU is 14nm and his CPU is 22nm so don't compare it, double laughs in the face of your comment.

Uh, yeah, this:

Well, it will probably output the same amount of heat. +-10-20W

The process doesn't matter; it's the power consumption. Triple laugh. :p We are comparing heatloads and what made me laugh at your comment was to say 8-core, because that's not what matters; it's all about the power consumption. Since it is a cooler that is being referenced, the ability of that cooler to dissipate that heat is what you are questioning. Both chips are 140W TDP @ stock, and the process change merely allows for 2 more cores and added cache within the same power envelope. The H110 maybe an AIO, but it is a very capable 2x140mm AIO.

Funny because the 14nm consume 30% less power than the 22nm and generate less heat.

Sure, if you were comparing the same chips (8 core and 8 core, both 20 MB cache), but again, my reference is a chip with 2 added cores and 5 MB more cache, which leads to similar power consumption.
