God of War had interesting ones.
IMO, QTEs are not needed and/or plain bad. But sometimes they can be nicely implemented like in GoW. And most important then must not happen too often.

I hear ya. I actually jumped into the franchise on that game too and didn't enjoy it so I quit it which is rare for me to do on AAA titles. I tried the series again with Skyrim and was quite happy with it though.

Skyrim and Witcher 3 trade blows on what they do best, but I am certain that Witcher 3 takes the cake with lore immersion. Some side quests were so detailed, long and interwoven into the main plot so well that I was amazed.

I think the biggest issue that I had was the combat in Witcher. It didn't feel extremely gratifying to me.

CD Projekt Red are such a great example though of how a business can interact with its player base. The list is very slim of anyone that can even compare to them.

Late to the party but thought I'd add that Skyrim is trash compared to Witcher 3. Played and beat both, enjoyed one, was bored to death with the other. Skyrim has the most boring plot I've ever seen. Even the first Super Mario had a better plot than that. Some of the side quests were O.K. but Witcher 3 side quests were even better than those so I don't even...

Anyways, Witcher 3 is easily one of the best games of all times. Would even go as far as it IS the best game in my experience, but Zelda Breath of the Wild could be up there as well.
