Hello there, just a quick question(s). I am currently looking to upgrade my current gpu from a 6670 to one of the following.

Msi r7 360 2gb at ($81)
Gainward gtx 750ti 2gb oc ($81)
Gigabyte r7 360 2gb oc at (99)

Any help on the following would be great such as value and such. Don't play any games really apart from the Total war series (Shogun 2/Rome 2) highest I would go.
Thankyou

Why older stuff? What do you do if you don't play games?

I have an HTPC with a GTX 1050ti and I couldn't be happier and it does play games fairly well because its a 720p 50 in. quiet and fast. Everytime i put a AMD card in this PC I have issues coming out of sleep where the resolution changes.

You might want to consider GTX 1050 if your budget allows it

Id go 750ti out of those, mainly because many don't require power from sources other than the pcie slot.

If $40 more is not too far out of budget, $110-$120 can score a 1050 or maybe sale/used 1050ti

I'm in Australia so the pricing is quite a bit different, but I could possibly pick up a used gtx 760 for $80

Are these GPUs second hand and are the prices $AU?

MSY Sydney Ultimo has Gigabyte 2GB R7 360 OC $99

And Gigabyte 2GB R7 370 WINDFORCE OC $119

Asus STRIX GTX 750TI OC $129

Of the 3 cards the 750 Ti is faster. I would go with that.

If you don't really play games, or have some other specific use which you haven't mentioned, I don't see much reason to upgrade.

Yeah these prices are in $AUD and are not second hand. I'm looking for a reasonable card that will an upgrade from the current one I have. Am upgrading so I can play the newer total war games like shogun and rome at a reasonable quality.

If you don't really play games, or have some other specific use which you haven't mentioned, I don't see much reason to upgrade.
Preferably do not want to spend too much and considering my case isn't all that big, looking at max length of card to be maybe 8-8.5 inches

Of the 3 cards the 750 Ti is faster. I would go with that.
The cards I have mentioned are currently on clearance sale so it's part of the reason why I'm looking at them.

@Dovah88 like ppl already said extra no power plug required, fastest compared to AMD's R7 370.

It does a really good job for gaming if u r on a budget and can't afford a GTX 1050 Ti.

Well, the cards you selected are pretty old (and slow). I'm recommending at least GTX1050. 1050ti would be better, but it's more money still, and it doesn't appear you need gpu power too much...

Yes well the gtx 1050 is a little bit out of my range at the moment and not looking for the best card, just one that's reliable enough and will perform better than the one I currently have for games like shogun 2 and rome 2 which currently run fairly slow and not all that well on medium to high settings on the current one I have

Hm, you say it's a 6670, but your specs list a 7750, why is that?

Anyway, of the cards you selected, the 750ti is marginally better. It's just really hard to recommend a low-mid range card from 3 years ago. If you must choose from one of these three, then the 750ti is the way to go, but I still suggest the GTX1050, at least.

Yeah I changed it just then sorry, haven't used this for a while the 7750 stopped working a little while ago so replaced it with the 6670 which was lying around. As for the cards, will they be better value wise compared to the current one I have?

Software Windows 10
The cards I have mentioned are currently on clearance sale so it's part of the reason why I'm looking at them.

One interesting thing about the 750 Ti is that it's a 3 year old entry level GPU but it's not a Kepler as the other 7xx GPUs are. It's a Maxwell GPU and along with the 750 (non-Ti) it was the first Maxwells released before the 9xx Maxwells around 6 months later. It was how we knew just how efficient the Maxwells were going to be. So really the 750 Ti is only a generation back right now instead of 2 generations old.

I've always been surprised how much horsepower those little cards actually have. My nephew has A low profile one from MSI, The damn thing can fit my hand and I've actually use it to play Grandtheft auto five @1080p & it works reasonably well

I would try to find a R9 370, if not go for the 750 Ti.
