Came here to see people recommend cards not in the list of original posters request. Was not disappointed.

I'm more partial to the R7, but I think the 750 would probably last you a little longer. Good luck

Sometimes I just think that people recommend something to other people based on their own needs and wants vs the OP's needs or wants. In the perfect world we would all want a 1080ti SLI but budgets wont agree to it.

I dont have any experince with the AMD graphics card but one of my laptops has the 860m which is the laptop version of the 750ti, let me tell you that little thing runs most somewhat older game, within 3 years or more, on high to max settings.

I just tried Rome 2 Total War with the 860m and it hits around 38fps on max settings at 1080 resolution.

I don't think it has much to do with what the recommender needs. Many people here on tpu(speaking personally also) often get asked in their personal lives about pc advice. And what I did was recommend the best out of that list in my opinion, but also added for 20% more money you could get a much better card. And I believe that's basically what anyone else offering unsolicited suggestions were doing.

In the OP there was no mention of this being an Australian-based purchase so people will default to the thought that for 20 or 40 more dollars you can get two times more video card. Sadly that's not the case in Australia because their taxes are ridiculous
