Yeah online load times are retarded but they improved a bit at least lately. That said they are just horrible if you switch game modes a lot, if you just stay and mess around on a server it's just the initial wait time and that's it.

I can see the appeal to online, I was having fun in most of the game modes. However, when trying to complete heists and progress through the online heists. I would be lucky to even fill a lobby I am hosting, and if I was able to fill a lobby, it was like the players that joined were brain dead and working against me. For me, I lack a team to play with online with therefore, SP only makes the most sense. I just hate how the content is split between Online and SP.

Just see to it that you invite good players when opening a good lobby, wait a few seconds so you didnt invite suckers who just used the game to leave the server or flee from being killed. Some players here play Online, you could play with them.

. for a while there i could, but i suppose either an update, or something has changed, but I am S.O.L now

My FPS always go to hell where the high CPU usage is But that's not where i get high GPU usage i get it at the end of the tunnel leading down to lumber yard.

I have a G-Sync monitor now, at my previous post the above screenshot when there are lots of explosions on that road (i use some mods) when my CPU is 95%+ or so my fps can drop about 7fps since I have G-Sync I don't notice it much,
I just see it at the fps counter. Overall I can play GTA V with around 75fps @1440p but I lock my fps at 60, thats good enough for me.

The fps stays at 61~62 mostly.

@cushman what monitor do you have, don't see it in your specs. Gaming at 1440p with that 980Ti?

When I play GTA V I have to use V-Sync, if I turn V-Sync off my CPU load is 99% and the ingame menus become extremely laggy.
I don't think there is anyway to set a maximum load on the CPU? Or is there another way to overcome this to not need to use V-Sync in the game.

No but fastsync might hold it back a little.

But not as much as full vsync

anyone else get the "program has stopped working " message when trying to launch GTAV with MSI afterburner running? i wasnt sure at first what was causing it, but then i narrowed it donw to MSI AB, im 100% certain it is what is causing it now, but am still curious if others experience it....but it DOES work if i start GTA 1st, then MSI-AB weird

Personally I had all sorts of issues with afterburner, more recently i have issues with saphire trixx too im using wattman I actually thought you had an Amd gpu ,but i have noted your not ,both oc software's seam flakey at the minute to me.

id like to see if anyone else can replicate this issue. simply by running MSI-AB then launching GTAV. I noticed it a year ago or so. just really annoying tbh, since i can just launch AB after i have gotten into GTAV.

I'm on the latest version of afterburner, and the latest version of the standalone GTA 5. Probably just one of those quirks that come along with not having a widely used and or popular DRM. My own fault for going rock-* :rolleyes:

copy instead of steam.

I'm impressed with the performance I get with my recently installed SLI set up. The performance increase is damn near a perfect 100% jump

I'm running the same version of GTA V with the latest AB. I can check if the problem is present, although it wasn't last week.

I know I used to have issues with crashing and overall bad performance when I had vsync off with my 970's. With vsync on, totally fine. Doubt it's your issue though, just throwing stuff out there lol.
