Hey guys so I am trying to get into my bios and try get little higher OC out of my 4790k. At moment it is at 4.6 .
So I enter bios go advanced. Make sure xmp is selected scroll down to core clocks and nothing happens . I can go over it but I can't click on it. It's not grey out but will not let me click on it. What am I doing wrong?
Also I'm trying to install AI suites 3.0 once I click on file it says Windows needs to reboot and finish previous installation. I had uninstalled AI suites close to 8 months ago.
What is going on?
Why can't I adjust my bios clock speed or install AI suites.

Is it set to Auto, or do you have a profile selected?
They are the only two things I can think of.

You install AI Suite while over clocked? Try the Asus site, they usually have more then 1 version of AI suite.

First mistake was trusting that any ASUS software works. ASUS has 15+ versions of AI suite 3 removal software, meaning its hit or miss if it works on your machine. IMO all ASUS software is junk.

Well ai suites does OC. When you run the optimizer it will keep OC the cpu till it hits the max. When I 1st build my pc I did it via AI suites I was able to run stable at 5.0 ghrtz. That is where AI suites stopped but I realized it was running a really high voltage . So uninstalled it and manual OC via bios to a safe 4.7 ghrtz. The reason I am trying to install AIsuites is due to I can't figure out why I cannot change my cores multiplier in bios.

I just realized issue. I was trying to click on auto .instead just go over the core ratio and type 45 or 47. As far as AIsuites I still don't get why I cannot install it. It boggles the mind.. I have m.2 for os and 2 ssd for storage
