Are you sure your card is 4Gb?
Quite a few were 8Gb cards with half the Ram disabled, and only needed a Bios flash to enable it all.

Why not try a Rx 570 4Gb BIOS?
You have little to lose if your card has a BIOS switch.

ive read a post were a guy on reddit flashed an rx480 bios onto an rx470 to see if it would unlock cores. it ended up not unlocking any cores but worked just fine. i would assume that this method would work the opposite in that the 4gb rx570 bios will flash onto the rx480 4gb but not mess with the core count. the core count might be determined using a resistor. in any case i dont see how it would damage your card. if the bios flashes and works than good job, your a trail blazer. if it works and has less core count than just flash back. in any case i think you should try it out and report back.

cause it will lock out cores

You could flash an RX 570 4GB bios on to an RX 480 4GB card but the net result would be an RX 570 4GB card.
