The Maryland based firm has announced that its unmanned aerial system, named Fury, has demonstrated a flight endurance time of 15 hours, while operating with over 200 lbs of payload and fuel at an altitude up to 15,000 feet.
Lockheed Martin has been testing Fury for nearly a year and during this period, it has flown more than 200 hours.
It demonstrated more than 15-hour endurance, while simultaneously operating 100 pounds (45kg) of payloads, including electro-optical/infrared surveillance systems, voice communications relays, SATCOM links and multiple signals intelligence payloads.
Fury is fitted with a quiet push propeller and has a 17-foot (5.2m) wide blended wingspan, New Atlas reported.
It is also designed with low acoustic and visual signatures and has a SharkFin for advanced mission management and control.
