The Roccat Cross is a comfortable and lovely sounding gaming headset with an interesting twist. You can remove its boom microphone and attach a secondary cable equipped with an in-line microphone, plug it into your smartphone, and use it as a mobile headset. It holds its own in both of those scenarios, which fully justifies its $70 price and then some.

Roccat ever had problems with quality? Great Kone Pure series Optical mice. Same nice Ryos series Mech keyboards.
Serious German brand. Germans still these days treat it's old tagline 'Made in Germany', - very proudly and reverently. Even if it means just engineering and design.

Tho, still, the Kingston HyperX Cloud, original 1st model, it's just OP for the $70 price range. Thanks to Beyerdynamic components inside and overall solid and robust metal frame design. This headset is absolute champion from all 'gaming' headsets, when the music plays. The most close sound scene to the professional studio monitors.
And... that 'special gaming sound' it's total marketing BS. What is good for music / studio - gonna be good for gaming. Overwhelming majority of special gaming headsets has just poor quality speakers, and worthless mic.
