Disc resurfacing?

Does anyone have some experience with disc resurfacing? Sometimes I come across discs that are really scratched and won't work. I've tried home remedies like toothpaste or furniture polish but they rarely work. I was thinking of the JFJ Easy Pro. It's a little bit pricey, but it should be worth it, if it works well.

Well, it's the least expensive option I found that looks any good. There's that much cheaper SkipDr thing, but the reviews are mixed. The JFJ unit could eventually pay for itself, but I agree that it is a bit of a steep purchase.

Don't forget to include the cost of consumables, if you plan on doing a lot of discs.
Just as an example, like a printer... you still got to get ink for it.

the trick is to resurface the disk enough to make it readable and then burn a fresh copy
