Fuck yes, Cobra's are solid in combat and multi-role configs. My Mk III is still my favorite ship.

Cobra or Asp Explorer for me. For combat I like using 4 size 1 railguns and 2 size 2 mini guns.

I just got the game few days ago. been playing for like 3 days now. awesome game!! Been looking for this kind of game for a long while now. My only gripe is no modding and no pure singleplayer, but it's still fun. mostly playing Solo cause my latency sucks on Elite servers. anyway I farmed 50m CR already and I got 2 upgraded ships(Cobra, Type-6, etc) that I use the most. will buy an AspX and Dolphin later and upgrade it

anyway one great experience I had in the game(not even 1 week playing) is that when I ran out of fuel when I tried to go 500ly away from my point. These guys literally saved me and my exploration data. https://www.fuelrats.com/i-need-fuel/ Never thought it would actually work! and it was my first time interacting with someone online in Elite

We tried multi crew but couldn't figure it out. All I could do was look though @erocker eyes. Couldn't figure out how to get in the turret. Anyone know?

Okay soo I outfitted a Dolphin and an AspX for Quince runs and Long range passenger trips, respectively. kitted out the Asp and it has 32ly jump range with all my necessarity exploration/cabin/survival modules. soo excited to travel at least 10000ly lol, maybe tomorrow.

and my 50m has been reduced to 18m. I retired my Type 6 for the meantime(might use it for trading if it becomes profitable for me again)
currently waiting for my Dolphin to come to Quince so I can do passenger runs again, playing another game. I hope I can get it back to 50m or more before I sleep today

Looking for a mission that will earn me at least 20m and travel like 10kly. + what I will earn exploring stuff

Engineers are interesting, specifically the boosted jump ranges but I haven't got the chance to try it out myself(seemed pretty much endgame to me, and I am just getting started)

I made it to the 2nd engineer with FSD's and modified. It reverted my drive from three nuts to one.... Now I gotta do it over again.

I think the Cobra is one of the best ships in the game. I would just upgrade it untill you have max size type A components all around on it.. save life support, use a D (it's lighter). Just ALWAYS make sure your insurance re-buy cost is lower than how many credits you have.

Ok so I farmed more than 100m now and I am torn between buying a decent multi-role build Python or a budget Anaconda fitted for passenger missions(basically used it as a Beluga Liner), while I farm for it's components

I currently use a Type-6 for passenger missions and AspX for multirole/exploration

Should I settle for the python or jump straight into the Conda?

Just picked up an explorer a few days ago. Takes some getting used to coming from a Cobra. Looking forward to doing some long distance runs once I build her up. I think it has turrets but, I'm not sure.

Also I like kinetic WAY better than energy weapons.

Okay after 2 weeks of playing so far this game is awesome!

I've been enjoying using the Python so far, one hell of a ship. Best ship that can dock at everything I think and can beat everything. Studied engineers and learned how to use them. Farmed a shit ton of mats yesterday so I could roll many Grade 5 FSDs and do it on all my ships. Almost everyship including the geared Python reached 30ly jump range except for my ASP Explorer, I reached 45ly on that beast. Currently eyeing the Anaconda(exploration), I have hundreds of millions left but I think I'd farm more for it.

The game is beautiful, I did a bit of exploration using the AspX and it was a beauty looking around many of the planets and taking screenshots, uhmmm How do I link embed imgur album here? http://imgur.com/a/poiBg
