Cooler Master, a leading manufacturer of desktop components and peripherals, today announced the release of the MasterBox Lite 5, a high performance ATX mid-tower case with DarkMirror front panel and external customization. The MasterBox Lite 5 case is a straightforward choice for a PC build that looks good and has ample space. The case is armed with full black coating and a PSU cover to make your configuration pop against the black background.

The customizable trim allows users to choose from three different colors to suit their taste accordingly. The four 120mm fans, front and rear watercooling support ensure that performance will not be compromise performance. Harboring up to 400mm of graphic card space, fitting your graphic card won't be an obstacle. Finally, it comes with an edge to edge transparent acrylic side panel to show your internal components while the DarkMirror front panel tings the case with an attractive look, providing full visibility. Choose Your Style, with the MasterBox Lite 5.

"We wanted to introduce a standard and space saving case that still grants paramount characteristics. The MasterBox Lite 5 is compact yet does not sacrifice performance and style," said case product manager, Wei Yang."

The MasterBox Lite 5 can easily go wherever you need your PC to be with its manageable size. Put it on your desk, squeeze it against your bookshelf, or hide it away under your colleague's work space. Following small apartment design, Cooler Master has put effort into structuring layouts to give multiple functions to a single area of the case. This creates room for a little monster build with full-sized graphics cards, liquid cooling, and SSDs. Furthermore, the customization options allow users to "Make It Yours."

The MasterBox Lite 5 will be available to purchase at local resellers in Europe at the end of May .2017, for a suggested retail price of 49.99€.

I really like the bottom part inside the case. Clean af. Now make the drive bay area just as clean so I never have to close my case for it to look good anymore. Instant coolness factor right there.

It apparently also has a transparent front, which is kinda cool.

Definitely like the direction of this one and nice of them to include an all black version from then start. I see companies forget that all the time.

They could've included rubber grommets tho. Also i'd have loved this, slightly smaller, in the 40x40cm with tempered glass and slightly better/tougher materials, i like the design.

You have a point, but the shit is not having at least one Type-C, at least optional sold separately accessory

There are electrical limitations having Type C in the front! Get real. USB3.1 is enough really.

I am real, because there's already some motherboards that have a front panel USB 3.1 gen2 header. so why will they put that header if there's any limitations ?

BTW, What electric limitations you're talking about ?

hummmmmm......

another day, another boring, same ole same same rectangular boxen clone drone....

I DO like the semi-transparent front panel idea, but also agree with Xajel about not having any front panel USB-C ports.... they are supposed to be the next gen of universal connector, but they will never be adopted quickly unless/until the case mfgr's start putting them on the front...

So come on folks, just suck up the whole $1.87 cost difference and put 'em in there already, you'll more than offset that with increased case sales in no time :)

Looks to me that the tube is slimmer. It's going up to hide.

CM has been making their own AIO for a while. It could be that they are for Masterbox branded ones. They've been going all hype on masterbox-something.

According to their website they will be putting out the 3D print files for that top/bottom trim, if anyone is into that stuff.

Yup yup, my Asus TUF Z270 Mark 2 board has some 3D printed parts on their site. I just don't know anyone local with a 3D printer.

I prefer those to the standard Asetek style fitting, they appear to be simpler to install.

From what I understand, they were including the different colored trims in the box, so you have the option of red, white, black and possibly blue.
So there shouldn't be a need to 3D print your own unless you want a different material or color.

BTW, What electric limitations you're talking about ?

Because some engineers are retarded just do what they are told to by PR. USB 3.1 gen2 works in less than 1m lenght, if else it drops down to a plain USB3/2, in reality connecting a case header already halves the size and attaching any other feasible device to it renders the port useless, especially in a large case. We need to consider PCB trace length and signal loss because of the additional connectors(that need to be uber high quality to host a 5GHz signal). There for I said about getting real.

You may see such ports in really small HTPC solutions where are really short cables to the front panel. You will attach your phone cable and the thing will exceed USB specifications.

Use the proper I/O ports in the back, simple as that, this thing really is bleeding edge, and suffers all problems as any high RF device.
