Do you have problems with getting use to it? cause I went from copperhead to deathadder........bad idea. I bought the deathadder like in may and its fun to have but only If I was use to it like I am with the copperhead

Sorry to post off topic but noticed a few with the MX1000 having the jiggle issue....I too had this issue and was resolved by turning off the mouse when recharging....issue has never popped up after. And YES the MX1000 rocks...except for occational lag in game if you wait too long the mouse goes into "rest".

like others here, i like my mx1000. the thumb buttons are great for custom button gaming (World of Warcraft for me). but i too exp. difficulty charging this sucker correctly.

I got mine about a month ago as well and I am stilling getting used to it but just the pathing and the feel of the mouse makes me like it. Right now I am playing BF 2142 and every new mouse will take a little while to get used to.

Why the hell are mice so expensive? Why should I pay $50+ for a mouse when a $10 one will do the same job?

Spend 6+ hours gaming with a $10 mouse that "does the same job", then game for 6+ hours with a high quality mosue costing $40+ then you will see the difference.

I used to have an old Microsoft Optical mouse (800dpi) which was great, but my MX518 blows it out of the water.

I'm using a MX700. I like the weight, but besides that, I don't think it's much better than my old InteliMouse Explorer 1.0 or my friends InteliMouse Explorer 2.0.
My mouse is long gone anyways. I'm looking at the G5, but I can't find the 5 button one.
If not the G5, then a Copperhead or a Microsoft Habu. I don't think there are very many good companies that make mice besides Microsoft, Logitech, and Razer.

Bad contacts and that exact solution seems to have haunted Logitech's mice for a very long while.

Yes it is. Especially for gaming, 1600dpi isn't enough for me

What differences do you notice while gaming? I know if you have a 2000 dpi vs 800 dpi it will make a difference because it will take more movement to make the cursor move right? Besides that, why should you fork over that much more money?

I would say it depends.
If you like bigger mice than the G5 hands down.

However, if you like small mice than get the Razer Deathadder.

Also the wieght system and the dpi switching does help out in FPS.

The amount of dpi that have a mouse is very important \o/ try to play Sniper Elite with a 200 dpi mouse, then play again with a 2000 dpi one (that you can change in-game by a button config) 600 dpi while you shoot a gun, 2000 dpi to snipe... It owns, seriously.

It depends on how do you use your mouse; therefore you would pay extra for the features + quality (?) it has.

My uncle has a razer copperhead. I guess it's a good mouse.. I like his G5 better.. if it's even a g5 i dunno
