How do you clean your monitor screen?

I still use the old spit 'n polish routine, paper towels to wipe the screen down after works for me.

Window cleaner like Windex can remove the anti-glare coating. It's is NEVER a good idea to use Windex or vinegar because of this. This is a common way to remove anti-glare for many monitors, just give it a quick google and you'll see the results. I've even seen video guides showing it.

My neighbor discovered that while cleaning an expensive LCD panel a few years ago. Used Windex on it and it was left smeared, permanently. A damp cloth removed some of it but when it's off you can still see some smears. I guess the ammonia in the Windex screwed up the coating on the screen.

Jk i use some window cleaner spray which i also cleab my helmet visor with.

It isn't recommended to use window cleaner spray as most have ammonia, which is more abrasive than you want and can react with certain plastics, causing them to cloud up. I would recommend distilled diluted vinegar before that.

Aside from that, Lens cleaner or rubbing alcohol. Just avoid the cheap stuff from china, as they will often be of poor quality.

Technically is not a "true" window cleaner nor it's Windex. It's a general purpose cleaner compatible with LCD screens without alcohol, besides, I did many times and the antiglare coating doesn't seem to be affected

Get a proper microfiber cloth like I have, and it won't be any hard to get matte screen clean any longer, and all you'll need is a little bit of water.

windex can (not will, can) hurt the anti glare coatings and paper towel often leaves little bits of residue behind.

I clean my monitor with angle grinder and flap sanding disc. P80 works the best since P60 is a little bit rough. Just kidding.

Now for real. Nothing special - sometimes before I used Stakloper (our version of Windex), but now I use only wet "baby" wipes and clean microfibre cloth.

I normally uses the same wipes as I use on my glasses never been an issue.

But at the moment I use these wipes I found in Lidl for like €1 or smth really cheap if I remember correctly have 40 wipes.

Thank you I will get a new eyeglasses' cleaning cloth (instead of using the current one to clean my glasses)

I have a 32" HDTV and sit far enough away (6.5') not to cough or sneeze on it. I mostly just use a fluffy dust cloth. If it ever needed a more thorough cleaning I would use a soft micro fiber rag barely dampened with warm water.

I do not recommend any liquid cleaners, and definitely not ANY liquid excessive enough to drip down the screen.

For dust i use paintbrush.. For screen i usually use damp cloth then wipe by using dry cloth. Better avoid chemical for screen coz you dont know the effect
