Disclaimer: I don't own the case yet, hence my asking :)

Per stock, one side has its glass panel, one side has its perforated one.
Ideally, i'd like to throw away the glass side panel and replace it with its perforated sibling, so as to have two perforated ones, one per side.

Their store sells them separately, so getting the extra panel shouldn't be an issue: https://ttstoreusa.com/product/core-x9-side-panel-perforated/

The only problem is, i'm not sure if it's possible, setting the case like that; looks like it should be according to the schematics, but..

Any owner that can provide an estimate? Owner mind.

"Interchangeable Window and I/O Panel
Users can customize the chassis for the best viewing presentation with an interchangeable window and I/O panel design. Side I/O ports include four USB 3.0."

Only makes sense that if the window panel can go on both sides, the vented panels would do the same ;)

The manual is correct. Its a fully reversible chassis. From panels to power switches...

That said, unless you need all that room for rads, etc... id get something else. Its cavernous inside. To properly route wires, youll need extensions for many items, etc. Its also gdts pretty dusty inside in its stock form.

Thanks man :)
And yeah.. two rads on first floor, one left, one right, two more below, again one per side (hence my intending to replace the glass panel with a perforated one).
Will have to do a bit more reading for the pump, not sure if i need one or two what with all the fittings required (CPU, GPU, mosfets + rads + res).

Really appreciate the extensions tip, helps knowing the little things in advance ^^

Assuming you bother, i'm open to advice regarding "something else". So far, excluding Caselabs (i refuse to pay 800 bucks for a case) i honestly can't find a single chassis fitting my needs:

- fit for x4 360 rads (yes, i know, don't say it, i do; but i'd rather plan for 4 and end up using 3, than plan for 3 and get back to searching from scratch).
- flat mobo, for the GPU; i want to forgo the need for a brace, am tired worrying about moving the case everytime i want to blow it.
- architecture that allows for the above without sacrificing airflow and/or forcing me to have a rad's fans blowing inwards. Especially this last bit, i want cool air inside.
- space, space, space. Got fat fingers, lol, i want to be able to work in it.

Am thinking about a 1976X or that new i9 whose name i forget, but whose TDP at 175W i sure do remember, plus the GPU, plus the mobo's mosfets. Then am thinking that after so much money for parts plus loop, if i build it and my idle is near 30 i'm gonna kill someone, lol, 'cause i got 30s right now on a corsair 115i :)

So i thought i'd go overkill.. usually i'm too close to 'hot', this time ima going full arctic, i wanna see snow accumulate. For just this once, i want it C-O-L-D :S

P.S. do keep in mind it's very hot down here, plus i'm in an underground cellar with no natural A/C.

Your idle is going to be affected by the ambient temp of the room. Whether you have 4 360 rads or 8 480 rads, they pretty much going to render the same idle temp based on your scenario. The only way to change that is by using phase change cooling, or by pre cooling the air going into the rads (Portable air-con unit with ducting to the rads and from outside, which is going to be a ridiculous task as you are in a basement). However, your max temps will differ as cooling capacity is measured in wattage, and hence more radiator area, more wattage cooling capacity. Unless you can move your heat exchanger outside ( Like a car radiator) or bring in cool air and push out hot air from the basement, you are kind of stuck with ambient idle temps.

Fair enough..

My erm, understanding was that lower idles would more or less entail lower max temps. Thank you for clearing that up guys :)

(am still reading needless to say, haven't ordered a single thing, just starting with the case + a mental blueprint of how/where i want stuff situated)

Your theory is true, but when you boil down to the finer advancements that you are looking for the idle stays pretty much the same. It has been a pleasure helping where I can, and pretty please, post the final product in the case mod gallery, I'm overwhelmed with excitement to see the final product (And its pretty much a solid thought for now hahaha).

the problem you get into is temp sensors on cpus arent as accurate on idle as they are at higher temps and being a lot closer to the tjmax (throttle point). But you really shouldnt worry about idle temps much at all.

Have you read any guides or anything?

Well am starting from scratch; this means videos first, get me an idea, get the concept, the parts and so on. Have almost had my fill of them, ergo yeah, soon i will be graduating to the written stuff, lol
It actually helps me this way. You're no longer clueless, but you're left with more questions than answers, which means you can read the forum guides with 'some' critical eye and/or without stopping every two seconds to google some term up, you know?

And thanks for the links, will read both :)

@EarthDog sorry for bugging you man, but if you find the time, can you post a bit more about the extensions?

Like, say, did you need them for the mobo's USB-to-chassis cables? The mobo-to-PSU cables? And if so, which ones?

(whatever my eventual rad/pump/res configuration, i find me 101% settled on this chassis; literally cannot find any suitable alternative. So any info's appreciated)

Fan to fan controller on the front panel really. Basically anything about midway back in the chassis to the front panel may need one. Obviously nkt the front panel headers as that comes with the case and they made the length roght.
