ASRock did it! Finally, there's an Intel HEDT platform motherboard with full quad-channel DDR4 memory. The new X299E-ITX/ac is for those who need up to 18 CPU cores and up to 64 GB of quad-channel DDR4 memory in their SFF machines for reasons. The board manages its limited PCB real-estate by going vertical. It features two riser cards, one with a few onboard controllers, and a pair of 32 Gb/s M.2 slots), and the other riser with SATA 6 Gb/s ports, a third M.2 slot, and the headers such as USB 3.1. The board draws power from 24-pin ATX and 8-pin EPS connectors, conditioning it for the LGA2066 CPU using a 7-phase VRM. The lone expansion slot is a PCI-Express 3.0 x16, memory is handled by four DDR4 SO-DIMM slots. Connectivity includes two Intel I219-V driven gigabit Ethernet interfaces, 802.11ac WLAN, and Bluetooth 4.1.

Wow, that is some serious piece of engineering! Do want!

(Although I'm still missing some decent AM4-mITX boards...)

Hmm is that all of the vrms under that sata riser card, or is there more under the board? I doubt it will take those 170W I9s  Interesting tiny board nevertheless.

I would, but the link you supplied doesn't work.

Works just fine here, you can go view the videocardz article on the same board, it containts an image of the specsheet, where it states the board has 3way SLI and 3way Crossfire support..

Wonder if the X299 chipset is 28nm or maybe even 14nm.

Not much cooling on the chipset with that small heatsink so it cannot generate much heat.

I have the 2011-3 ITX server board from asrock with quad channel via so-dimms.

The most important thing though, is that it comes with a full socket this time. Many people did not choose the X99 ITX board because of limitations on heatsinks.
It also claims to have 3 Ultra M.2 connectors, holy smoke! I can't wait to get one.
