Do you have any old hardware that can go in the new rig? What about mouse, keyboard, monitor?

Will you also be needing to buy a copy of Windows 10 in that 600 Euro budget?

A good gaming pc, so your main priority should be the gpu followed closely by cpu.

Id say something along the lines of a ryzen 5 1400 B350 motherboard, 16gb RAM and an rx 570, that would make a pretty decent gaming rig and should be doable on your budget

For only 600 € this is about it: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ZVw7JV

Prices in EU will be higher, so that should be somewhere around 600 €.

Drop the ssd buy a better gpu, it can be done I just specced out my build for £600 albeit without a case but id be happy with a £10/15 case for a month or so until I could buy something better. You can get this down to budget by being careful and shopping around

Since the budget is tight I would agree to drop the SSD. A SSD will help your rig boot faster but won't do much in gaming over a HDD and a better GPU certainly will help with gaming performance.

Still, even without the SSD there would be no room for an RX 570. Best case scenario is RX 460 or GTX 1050 Ti and 8 GB of RAM. With 16 GB (which isn't really necessary), it will be definitely over 600 €.

Of course this is £ not Euro so could be there or there abouts either side of his budget and could always just get 8gb to start and another down the road, no way would I buy a rx 550 for gaming pc....

it's not bad, but for 1080p resolution gaming, I would want at least a GTX1060 video card, and that won't have much life before needing to be replaced because of it's performance.

I would cut corners grab a Kaby lake G4620 dual core 4 thread CPU. is it as good as Ryzen? no but its far cheaper has 4 threads.

If i had a proper etailer that serves his region would make doing a potential part list a shit ton easier.

That or go second hand for an older Intel i5 system.

Some older dell rigs can be had with i5s or xeons just need a GPU upgrade.

Example: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883795871

$289 replace the PSU and add a GPU. i5 3470 + 16GB memory 2TB HDD. ugly as fuck but still.

That leaves $310 for GPU + PSU. good psu for $60 leaves $250 for a GPU but with no region to work with. Its hard to pin down prices or availability.

hell drop PSU budget to $50 drop GPU budget to $200 and that leaves $60 for an SSD as a boot drive.
