"The next Assassin’s Creed is going to Egypt, and although Ubisoft hasn’t yet confirmed it, we can piece it together from roughly 2349892483294832 leaks. Today’s leak comes from someone with an early copy of Game Informer, whose next cover story is Assassin’s Creed: Origins, out this October.

Rumors of the next Assassin’s Creed have been circulating since January 2016, when Kotaku broke news that Ubisoft’s tentpole series was skipping a year and that the next game, codenamed Empire, would be set in ancient Egypt.

Then there were more leaks. There was that t-shirt. There was the Target pre-order card. And now the entire Game Informer cover story has leaked, because Ubisoft."

LOL, a bit over the top with the tracking arrow, but cool for gameplay I suppose. Overall looks pretty interesting. I love the leaping bow shot, knife throw takedown (one of my faves in Far Cry 3/4), and use of shield.

It's also refreshing to see a black protagonist, but I suppose it will bring out some haters just as with Watch Dogs 2 and Hanger 13's Mafia 3. Really people, can't we get past that?

I also feel some are too worried about a lack of buildings to climb, which some even felt would affect parkour. I'm sure they'll have some way to make parkour flow, like AC3 did with trees.

There are also plenty of things you can use other than parkour to add new thrills to escapes. I hope they'll include chariots. Lots of good possibilities there. I wouldn't even mind if they go a bit Indie Jones and have the protag use his chariot whip in other ways.

If anything they've very over represented in media. We've already had two black protagonists in the series that I know of anyways. Not that I care, but make an Asian a protagonist if you really want to standout. Outside of Sleeping Dogs (and its predecessor) and Mirror's Edge I can't think of any games that had one.

First off I agree that an AC somewhere in Asia is long overdo, but in Egypt, a black protag is obviously a better, more logical fit. My point though was not so much what race of protag is picked, but that whenever it's a black one, which is pretty rare in games, they always get picked on.
