Need some help from people that really know

Below is the speed score as of yesterday from an AS SSD benchmark run yesterday . Sorry it's in German but that was the download I could find and could not switch it to English. The left column is READ, the right is WRITE. From what I understand the scores are about to way under half (WRITE scores) what an SSD should be. The SSD drive is about 6 years old. From what I've been reading it's time to replace it, but wondering if you pros have any advice. I've run AVG diskcleanup, but don't know any other means. I'm no techie. I need speed to render videos and just bought a 4K camera which this drive will not even come close to running while my Macbook laptop will do it although slowly. This desktop also has a I7 3.4 quad core processor, 32 g RAM. and 8GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Graphics card. It should pull 4K. Thanks for any advice

I bought 2 of these. They appeared to be great, but it turns out they get slower and slower as your data gets older. Samsung issued a firmware update which supposedly fixed the problem, but it appears that the fix only appeared to work because it refreshed the old files on the SSDs. After several weeks the drives began to slow down again. It's been six months since Samsung acknowledged the problem, but no permanent fix is available yet.

Id say buy a newer model drive.

Samsung made newe series is why, seems to be a major issue with the evos, the 840/840 pro don't exhibit this issue.

Run atto and see if the results are there. Tough to judge with as ssd what it 'should' be...

Ymmv, they don't understand that most tests on websites show best performance because of the hardware used at the time to feed from those drives.

Example X99 platform feeding AMD or NV cards.

I want to THANK you all for the advice. This is the score after running samsung magician and downloading the newer firmware.
Still can't run 4K well so will look for other solutions. Sure I'll eventually have to upgrade the HD but writing speed is at least up to where it should be now.

I get the same scores with an 850 EVO but I am pretty sure it's because of the chipset I have. I would honestly not bother with it , it's fine most likely.

This is what i get with my 850 evo 1tb on a z170 chipset. your 4k scores are normal. you wont see large numbers with a single drive for 4k performance.

Probably , point is even if the scores were half of what they are you would not notice a difference unless you are constantly copying large files.

Go to their website and find your SSD under support. It's all the way at the bottom of the page.

Here is the Kingston Drive Manager. Seems to be much like Samsungs Magician software. It should detect all Kinston SSDs in your ssytem and provide you with info and fimrware updates for all Kingston SSD devices. http://www.kingston.com/us/support/technical/ssdmanager
