GIGABYTE TECHNOLOGY Co. Ltd, a leading manufacturer of motherboards and graphics cards, begins shipment of its long awaited X299 AORUS Gaming Motherboards. With the flood gates open, consumers can find these boards at all major retail outlets and online stores. GIGABYTE previously offered pre-order customers incentives to upgrade and break into the enthusiast segment.

GIGABYTE has come out swinging with its new X299 AORUS Gaming Motherboards. To ensure consumers feel the full extent of performance and features of these motherboards, GIGABYTE has put together an Xperience Pack that helps to accent key technologies that come onboard. The Xperience Pack is filled with bonuses such as an AORUS Hoodie, 1-Year subscription to Xsplit Gamecaster, LEDs from CableMods, a Limited Launch Edition Keyboard Mousepad, and Sennheiser CX3.00 In-Ear Headphones. From its AMP-UP Audio to its RGB Fusion Technology, each bonus item is critical to enhance elements of the GIGABYTE X299 experience,

"We want our users to have the best experience possible and in order for this to happen we've decided to prepare these essential accessories as bonus items in our Xperience Pack," said Henry Kao, Vice President of GIGABYTE's Motherboard Business Unit. "We are sure that with this Xperience Pack users can dive into and explore the key features that GIGABYTE has implemented onto the board and realize why GIGABYTE is the best choice for their X299 Motherboards."

The Xperience Pack is available for users in the US and Canada only.

This is rumor and as such.. take it with ease, not just the odd grain :)

It is said that Gigabyte was very disappointed with the interest in X299. They were having a look at various "famous" Youtubers, comparing views between their X399 Giga mobo videos and their X299 (Giga) mobo videos.
The difference was.. vast, lol.. the interest for AMD's 399 was significantly higher everywhere.

Hence these cool(tm) offers on the 299s. Gotta make them attractive somehow.

(because we have fanboys, no, i doubt it was Giga [ie that Asus saw the opposite in their viewings], yes, it obviously was because of the 299 platform's 'meh' factor)

From the unboxing videos I saw online, the highest end offering comes with a PCI-E M.2 card with massive heatsink. I would like to see that being offered as standalone accessory as it certainly looks useful.

These Gigabyte motherboards are overpriced. You can get the same or better at a cheaper price with the other brands. These do have the most RGB though if you care about that.

The fact x299 has been out for two days while amd's have been out for months doesnt play a (significant) role in that?

How can one pass judgement on a product that has been out for two days and already have this experience pack ready to go? Cant say this lack of intrest you say gigabyte feels has a chance to exist yet...

Was that just made up? Lol!

AMP UP, but the change of the preamplifier does not appear on a single model. That the 1000w will be needed since the i9 7900X drinks even 400W + and add at least one powerful GPU card will be 850w too little for everyone. The diodes have a low power consumption against everyone else,There it is many of them a this will be 10w max.

We dont even know the release date for AMDs X399 platform yet.
so how is there even a comparison???? What was anera getting at???

a quality 850w psu will be plenty for an overclocked 7900k amd 250w card overclocked.

Are you a hardcore fanboy? Answer me that first please.
edit: or rather, nevermind, others are reading too, so i may as well reply.

I said that their impression, based on the views and general interest on the 299 platform, was that it paled, significantly, compared to AMD's 399. Significantly enough for them to be concerned, to be resorting to special offers so as to promote the 299s.
edit: i also said that this is a rumor going round, that is to be taken as such with a grain of salt.

You need not tell us that (obviously) your impression is different.
However, you could perhaps tell us where and how you've had all those 399 available "for months now". That you could help us with. Hell, maybe you could mail us a couple if you have lots of them.

fanboy? Me? Sweetheart...lol, no.

Just wondering how judgement is passed on something not released (originally i thought you made a typo and talking about released boards/chipsets - perhaps im still misunderstanding?).

Its a rather curious post, particularly without any support. Where did you read this??

Anyway, this isn't about judgement. This is about perceived interest, ergo possible future sales.
The rest you still need explain to us.

There isn't anything I need to explain.. I never understood the (to me: vague) post of yours out of the gate. Frankly, I still don't get it, edits and all. I don't see the point of even discussing an unsupported post (where did you SEE the rumor? Link plzzzzz) about perception of released and unreleased hardware. It has nothing to do with my, more than clear to most, lack of allegiance to any brand... in fact, I have no idea why that would even be brought up in this context except to get a rise out of me...

I don't think we find it hard to communicate with each other... but you should figure out to edit posts instead of double posting. :p

We will survive my one and only double post, i am sure :)
Had i edited the previous one, you might or might not have seen it, as there was a time gap. This way, i knew you would.

And there is something to explain: You said 399 mobos have been available for months. I asked where from and whom to, as the rest of us sure as hell don't have them available.
In regard to my original post, not seeing the point is something you're entitled to. Phrasing it in a way that paints the poster (me) in a negative manner? That's something entirely different.

Most especially since the post clearly warned about 'rumor' (ie no trolling, no bashing agends, etc).

Now we have a failure to communicate...i just said i misunderstood and explained why. Lol

Forget it.. this is tiresome and not worth the finger movements to continue. But thanks for the sidetrack about released/unreleased chipsets and how they were rumored (thanks for the link to the rumor!) perceived in a thread about a specific motherboard! That was fun! :p

No need for irony; here, i will quote you again.

The fact x299 has been out for two days while amd's have been out for months

Now while you may happen to believe your meaning is clear, i personally have an issue understanding you. So for a third time.. where and how have 399 mobos been available for months? If relative, in which planet as well.
