Did you backup the BIOS before you upgraded? If so, I guess you wouldn't be here asking...but little tip, always save a backup of your firmware before upgrading if you have the option to do so (hint: use GPU-z to do so, then submit it to the online DB, so even if you lose it on your PC, there's a chance it'll be hosted here...if someone else hasn't already submitted it).

You could attempt to contact Asus and request the old BIOS. Though their customer service leaves something to be desired.

You could look through TechPowerUP's GPU BIOS and search for one that matches your card. Being a popular brand, it is likely.

Or, you could take the path of least potential damage and leave what's on there alone and move forward. What about it is worse for your?

Most new cards have a feature where the fans stop under a certain temperature , could be that.

By the way , never mess with the BIOS again.

Ahh silent mode...well it won't hurt anything. My 980Ti from 2 years ago came that way, fan doesn't turn on until 60C. You can always use MSI Afternburner or EVGA Precision to set your own fan profile, that's what I do. Far less risky than a BIOS flash.

Did you not save your original bios? If not ,might i suggest NEVER ignoring rule #1 of the "so you wanna mess with your expensive gpu for no reason" handbook. Im pretty sure manufactures will give them to you if you ask (but ive heard asus support is > Than, or = to dog$hit)....so you may have a long wait, or no luck at all. Make sure (if you havent already) to search the gpu database(verified & unverified).

Good luck

Thank at moment is no present in TechPowerUp database.
And for clarification the new bios vers AS04 tool quiet work fine but I dislikely becouse in idle temp the fans up/down up/down and so on... for me is better the original bios vers AS01.
However for owner by Asus gtx1080 TI in the download section there is the same thing, but with also the original bios if tool quiet dont like... please check

its a pretty new GPU, id reach out to Assus. your only other option is to keep asking owners, and although You might get lucky, your better off implementing multiple (if possible) solutions, that way the Asus thing is working while you search for a fellow owner.

wrong the bios installed is last official version but tool quiet fram Asus like version for gtx 1080 Ti, and repeat its work very fine, but to difference to early version AS01, installed by default, this version AS04 in the idle temps start and off the fans and I hate this, simple.

Bye
