Yup ^^^, it looks like a molex to fan adapter cable, if you don't have enough fan headers on your motherboard then you could use this straight from your PSU to power an extra fan, leaving you still with a molex connecter.

you can order them off amazon or a an electronic component or hardware store similar to that of RadioShack or Maplins. Most computer stores that sell PC hardware should have them

Image you linked above is cable that goes from motherboard to sata (hard drives or optical drives)
Not a sata power to fan port for sure

Edit: as OP linked image is molex pwr to fan but on 12 volt rail

Well I have used them in the past but I switched the pins and then the fans would run at lower voltage.

Said that, you should know what to switch, if you do well - instead of 12v you get fans running on 5 v

~~or 7v if you go across 12v and 5v.~~ It's cool these days now that it's easier to control PWM fans, no need to compromise with noise/cooling.

I used to do it without ever having a problem, but tbf you're right as it'd be trying to pull the 5V rail high, and a switch mode supply won't like that... Okay, I'll stop recommending that then.. :slap:

Nowadays you just can control your fans in the UEFI or with software from within windows, it made life somewhat easier.
