I'm sorry about that. The crashes or freezes that I have really come from ordinarily hitting the opponents, the freezing is also very occasional. I'm not sure if I can get a video of this because the freezing usually happens once a week or two.

Yes you would update your motherboard bios to the Version 3401.
Then you would also get all the chipset drivers by selecting windows 10 64 (which I think you have) and then click the blue chipset link found here
https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/B150-PRO-GAMING-AURA/HelpDesk_Download/

its a starting point on testing the ram. I don't think its your ram I think it is a hardware fault with your sound where it means to play a sound instruction but cannot so it crashes. But it doesn't hurt to test the ram as well.

You download only the latest one.

Its probably not the network its probably the game telling the hardware to do a certain thing and the hardware is faulting on it and crashing.

Ok thanks for that. I ran a windows memory test because I am a computer noob and dont know how to run a memtest, is the windows test enough?

I apologize for this.

how could this issue possibly be anything outside software/game related?

Unless I misunderstanding the description of the problem OP is getting freezes when he contacts opponents in game immediately my mind goes to network Internet speed things of that nature but that wouldn't cause a computer to freeze but the fact of the game runs fine throughout the rest of everything else it rules out anything hardware based.... there's no bios update that resolves freezing while headshoting opponents o_O

In what's close to three decades of computer experience I've never heard of an issue like this at least specifically like this ,I would like to see it ....upload a video of it please
I think it was a mere coincidence that the OP only faced the issue when he contacts opponents. Because the system freezes up, pressing the power button does not make it shut down, sound is looped and I assume alt-ctrl-del also does not bring up anything and HDD/SSD activity stops.
From all these things, I believe it all points out to the hardware.

@OP - The next time this problem happens, keep it like for sometime and monitor the disk access LED. If it is steady ON or steady OFF and does not change its state AT ALL, it is clearly a hardware problem.

EDIT: OP tried with a discrete sound card and problem persists.

What do you mean by disc access LED so I will know if it freezes again? Also, pressing the power button makes it shut down. To add to that, I have had this issue about 10 times, and out of all 10, one consistent symptom or possible cause is contact. Either contact of opponent to me or me to them

No, just a cheap sound card to try if the 3.5mm jack is the problem or not. The soundcard has been tested in another pc with no problem whatsoever (because the sound card is my friend's and he has used it for months)

Open your start menu and search for Event Viewer. Open it up and expand Windows Logs, and click on System. Check these logs immediately after a hang. It should tell you your computer's final processes and errors before shutdown. I'm hoping we'll see a sound driver crash.

So like a USB one, or one you install inside your PC's PCI-E slot?

There is a blinking LED on the case that will tell you if the harddrive is being read from/written to, that would tell you if the system is 100% hung. I think really that you need to first try installing the bios and the chipset drivers and see if that helps. If that doesn't help then you should remove all hardware but the processor and the ssd/hdd and 1 stick of ram and then try playing CS GO and see if it happens again.

I see. Will do that, thanks. The ASUS tech support asked me to reset my CMOS, should I?

Yes do that first before my advice. Did Asus tell you how to do it? One way is to remove and then reinstall the watch battery.

Come back to us with a screenshot of errors or critical errors in Event Viewer before a crash.

May as well. Not entirely sure it'll help but it won't hurt.
I checked the event logs and the only error prior to and after crash is esrv_svc_queencreek. But this error happens all the time. Literally an error (queencreek thing) every few minutes, yet freezing happens rarely and only during gaming. Now no more error because I used powershell to remove it.

Thanks for your help. He asked me to remove the battery

Correct me if I am wrong, people tell me that if it is a hardware problem the errors should happen regularly? And you say that there is a pretty good chance of a hardware problem, which hardware do you think it is and how do I make sure? thanks!

Do I need to go through bios for a fresh windows install?

Ok... If you're asking that question then you probably did something wrong when you assembled your system.

Is that under System or Application log? If that is the only error in the System log, then we at least know that it's most likely a hardware issue. Errors should show up in application etc if there were any software crash shenanigens.

This tells me it's a sound file issue and he probably needs to reinstall Windows or he's missing a key update.

Or its a problem with his sound hardware, that being to do with his motherboard's chipset drivers or bios.

My money's on motherboard. As Rcoon, the only time I've had similar problems (stuck noise) 'twas the motherboard.

Download AIDA64 (30 day evaluation, will do the job for now). Install and run it. On the left pane, you will see "Storage". Expand it and click on SMART. Post us screenshots of what you get for all your hard drives and SSDs. Also let us know in which drive, the games are installed. Screenshot should look like this:

I just came home and realized even one of the drives can be a culprit while accessing data.

I felt like this is a power issue, and that error has to do with power management under W10 Creators Update. Read the comments to the video.

What do you mean by disc access LED so I will know if it freezes again? Also, pressing the power button makes it shut down. To add to that, I have had this issue about 10 times, and out of all 10, one consistent symptom or possible cause is contact. Either contact of opponent to me or me to them

I think you are talking about pressing and holding the power button.

Is that under System or Application log? If that is the only error in the System log, then we at least know that it's most likely a hardware issue. Errors should show up in application etc if there were any software crash shenanigens.
I will check when I get home. Also, when you said that your sound chip temp gets very high, is that during gaming? Because I would need to prove to the local store that the motherboard is the problem if It is.

Edit: I checked it now, and in the system log before the crash only this:
The Energy Server Service queencreek service terminated with the following error:
The stream is not a tiny stream.
After removing ESRV_QUEENCREEK through powershell, I have yet to encounter the freezing which is normal because as I said previously, the freezing is very occasional, but I believe that freezing shouldnt be happening.

For the Application Logs these can be found before the crash

To add to that, I have been using my PC for about a year and have encountered the problems about 10-20 times with daily use. I have also noticed the problems early into owning the computer, but I thought it could just be a bug.
