I have used Photobucket for several years, linking many pics here and elsewhere.

Now, Photobucket wants $400US/year to allow me to share pics.

Sorry, Photobucket, but I will not succumb to your attempted extortion.

So, unfortunately, all the pics I have posted are unavailable for viewing.

My apologies for the inconvenience.

I use Techpowerup.org for image hosting, it's only gotten better over the years. Did you exceed any limits to your PB account?

Yeah but i am guessing that @W1zzard don't want people putting pictures on TechPowerUp.org to post them else were on other sites though.

Photo bucket has become a cancer for quite a while. Whenever i try get on there it's nothing but a flurry of nonstop ads and popups at every click. I got a lotta old pictures uploaded there but these days i uploaded them to my Google account

Reading through the site, which there isn't much to read, shows no such stipulations or restrictions.

I'm sure they monitor image bandwidth usage, but I've never had an image pulled I've shared on another forum that I'm aware of.

Maybe @W1zzard can clear it up tho.

I'd still say its a good option...my favorite image hosting site for almost a decade now! It doesn't go by account so you can't keep track of your images unless you document them that I'm aware of. Worth it for a good, reliable and free image hosting solution. Granted I post fewer images than many.

Why would you think that? TPU.org is there for everyone to use and not going away. I use it for dozens of pictures myself every day (through TPU capture). New image editing features were added a while back. Bandwidth is no issue at all

Having image storage would make it more appealing imo. Personally I never use those album features I just upload pictures and MoveOn

I thought that because it was a TPU service that you kindly offer for free and would hate to see it gone due to people uploading pictures to post else were.

hardware and bandwidth is so cheap nowadays. the server is also completely separate to our tpu main servers, so don't worry about crashing that.

I would like it, even if just to keep track of previous project logs, benchmarks, results, shared infoz, etc.

Is it required? Hell no! I love TPU.org's image sharing platform as it stands, simple, effective and very fast. But it would be more a Quality of Life thing if you added or tied in accounts/login features and album creations.

I use to have a paid account. $25 year, Left over 2Tb of pictures there. Its gone as far as i can tell. I had a bunch tagged for searches from google and they don't even come up. My free account is still active but the site is full of ads and its slow.
