After returning one MSI GTX 1060 card to Newegg for a refund (see THIS thread), I purchased a second one from Amazon, this time it's the "X" version for $289.99 (GeForce GTX 1060 GAMING X 6G). Package arrived fine. Installed drivers and watched in horror as the screen in 3Dmark looked "epileptic" Studdery as hell. Below are the scores.

What I did: Uninstall all NV Drivers twice, tried two different driver versions, including the latest. Checked the power cable again. This same machine was running a GTX 1070 prior to that with a 3DMark Firestrike score of almost 15,000.

What the F*CK!!!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Ran GPUz 2.2 while running it, notice the low TDP:

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)
Did the clocks ramp up while running the bench? I see a blip there, and then 2D clocks... perhaps consider MSI AB which has a graph to check for consistent clocks?

Yea they did run up and I checked the graphs in the 3Dmark results, they looked fine. I had grabbed those GPUz shots about 10 min after running 3Dmark (went off to a shower after starting the 5th run of it lol)

Well... this should likely be in one thread (reported it and asked) as I find myself going back and forth for the same exact issue for information.........................

Anyway, You ran FS Ultra here. In the other I am guessing you ran something different as the score is double that as well as the screenshot not saying Ultra. Please figure out which test it is and make sure you are comparing the same ones.......

In our reviews, using FS extreme with a 6700K/7700K, we scored a bit over 6000....

My GTX 1070 Sli score's like 8K in Fire Strike Ultra...

So I'm guessing that 1060 is doing about right.

Edit: Just had to change 14K Ultra to 8K. 14K was Extreme

Hmmm... I did just purchase 3DMark from Steam and was running the free version before. Major Duh?? I'll run the GTX 1070 and compare tonight.

If the 1070 is getting 8k, the 1060 6gb should be getting close to 6k in Ultra. I should have done an online comparison, but pressed for time this morning.

No mate, 8K is in SLI. I think one was about 5K

Glad there was nothing wrong! This begs the question, however... was there anything wrong with the first card you just crossed wires on the benchmark?

Good news...

The first card (almost identical, a touch lower GPU clock) was getting 7,100 ...This is what I'm getting with the new card, pretty much what was expected:
